This works best on card stock. You have to make sure you read the directions because it can't be used on regular paper.

When I purchased this, it ended up jamming on the very first punch. When I was checking the reviews, it seemed that other people also had the same issue that I had. After a long while of troubleshooting and worrying about if I was going to break it from trying to un-jam the tool, it finally released.After the first jam, the product worked really well every other time I used it. The tool feels high quality, so it was surprising that it jammed on the very first punch. When you fix it, the tool easily punches very clear slot holes.

Received this afternoon and it's already broken. I thought since it's made for hard plastic it would be easy to use as a hole puncher on soft plastic that a regular hole puncher can't get through. Which it was. But not even twenty punches in and it's broken/jammed and won't reopen. The handle moves but the punch part itself is jammed into the bottom as shown in the photo. There seems to be no way to take the top apart and fix the lever or un-jam it. Waste of money.

This punch is comfortable and easy to use. The organization that I work for had a punch that was hard to work and pinched many hands. Purchasing this punch was a relief, and the catch on it was plus for safety.

I purchased one of these slotted hole punches as i was installing some siding on my shed and wanted to be able to add a slotted hole to the top of the vinyl siding so it could move as it expands and contracts. This punch is very sturdy and worked well and bet of all it was about 1/4 the price of a dedicated Vinyl Siding Hole Punch.
