Not to wax hyperbolic, but I honestly didn’t have a lot of expectations for this little toy, other than a throwback to childhood nostalgia. I realized that I had not had an eight ball for probably 40 years, and spontaneously I decided to push the button and go for it.It was cheap, and I was longing for my youth.Here’s the thing: this is the finest eight ball I have ever used. And why I say that, is because every eight ball I’ve ever used it’s very difficult to see what the eightball actually says. Somehow they don’t print those letters crisply enough and especially with older eyes, it can be very difficult to make out with the thing even says. I noticed that as years past, eight balls got more and more shoddy, what can you say. Except that this eight ball looks like a vintage eight ball, and the little word thing that floats is the sharpest, clearest text I’ve ever sent on an eight ball. In fact, I have never seen texts this clear on a 8 ball. Ever.So that was completely unexpected, and damn, but I was impressed. I am older it doesn’t take much. But I am taking a photograph because it truly is a wonder, not to mention that this thing was priced at nine dollars which is six or seven dollars below the name brand toy company that owns the actual eight ball is.So I love it, and I am absolutely thrilled that I bought it, and you will be too.

I bought this as a gift for someone. It is a flashback to our childhood. As a gift, it comes in an attractive box worthy of gift-giving. Of course I had to play with it before wrapping. I didn't think was too great at give answers right away, but I guess that's because it had been sitting on a shelf a long time before it was sent. I shook it up and no problems after that, all kinds of answers popped up. The answers seem to be a little small, but then, it's probably more of my eyesight.... not quite the same from when I was a child. The gift was well received, and my friend is having lots of fun with her grandkids and this gift. I knew she would.

Does a good job of telling varied answers and not getting stuck on a single choice. Make sure to shake it up well though. Great for kids but also for any age really if you're an adult that wants to make randomized decisions.

More straightforward and less creepy than a Ouija board. Simple & easy to use. Just like the one I had as a kid.Joking aside - a fun little conversation starter and coffee table doo-dad.

Gave it as stocking stuffers to my nieces and nephews. They loved them! The boxes did arrive damaged which detracted from the gift. But, the kids tore it off anyway and were happy. It's the same toy I grew up with. Not much has changed.

Well it’s fine except for the fact that the little pyramid thing with the answers on it inside the ball isn’t pushed together all the way so it doesn’t swish around right and doesn’t look aesthetically great either. And it is harder to actually get a clear answer because of it since it throws off the perfect dimensions of a pyramid

Lives up to expectations but it’s quite rough. Feels very cheap. Very very difficult to read the answers inside the ball as it doesn’t settle properly and the writing is very pale and small.

The magic ball works but the writing in it is so dark we can barely see what the words say. I bought one for my kids years ago and it was easy to see. This one is not even compatible! BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$
