I’m pleased with how easy it was to install this phone / tablet mount to the headrest of my car right out of the box. After attaching the ball joint to the phone holder I had to squeeze the spring loaded arm between the two metal rods of my headrest. This arm can also extend to fit wider headrests. Hopefully it can be seen by my pictures how close together the metal rods of my headrests are because if they were a little closer together this mount wouldn’t have worked. I had to squeeze the spring loaded bracket all the way closed to get it to fit between the two rods. The entire bracket feels substantial and durable. I just wish it had some sort of padding or shock absorbing quality to it where your device is held. It is made completely of hard plastic. Definitely use a protective case on your devices with this mount.

Keeps monitors, iPad and phone in place. There is some movement the farther away from the base that may cause dizziness.Pretty good quality. Hasn't fallen or broke on me yet and gets used almost on the daily.

We ordered this phone mount at the last second before a road trip so that our kiddo would have something to hold the phone while we drove. It actually held our iPad without any issues and we are able to move it around so that it can be closer or farther away from him. Super easy to attach to the headrest and very durable considering how light weight it is. Cannot beat the price either. We have left it in the car and use it on all road trips.

Opened the package at Christmas after having ordered 4 months prior as it was a Christmas gift. It was snapped and would not lock. We didn’t even get to use it once. My kids were very sad that they couldn’t use it for our road trip. Save your money and order something else.

I generally think this is a pretty solid product for the price overall. It feels sturdy enough to feel safe in the car in front of the kids, without feeling overengineered enough to cost an arm and a leg.The one thing I'll say is I bought this to use with a Fire Kids' tablet, and I don't feel very comfortable using it with the rubber casing on. Which means, although I don't really like doing it, the only way I'm really comfortable to use this mount is by taking the rubber shell/bumper off. Which I don't like to do because it's a little annoying and I might be lazy about putting it back on after. That said, that's a very specific concern and doesn't really discredit the product itself, just my use case. I also noticed that I need to grip that table along its length rather than across its width, because it does have a minimum clamp size. But that doesn't seem like it will be an issue for most people/most scenarios since the tablet I have is on the smaller side.Overall the installation is quite easy, it's spring-loaded and just clamps to the headrest posts of the driver or passenger seat. It has an awkward squeak like a sort of cheap spring but it still feels solid enough to not worry too much about that in practice. The mount feels stiff although I haven't specifically watched it when going over big bumps, I have asked the kid and was told it seemed to stay still. How much I trust that, well, not entirely, but enough to leave it back there for now.I'll update this review if I test it and my wife watches from the back seat and notices any problems, but for now I don't really have any concern recommending this.Update: unfortunately I had to remove another star after trying this out in a different car. The minimum adjustment simply didn't fit the other car I tried, and if that is a possibility it's a lot more of a problem. I don't really expect people to go out measuring the distance between head rest bars before ordering something like this so it seems worth highlighting now that I've found out it's a potential problem.
