I ordered this Nanaki Dog Calming Hoodie hoping to help my puppy to be less anxious when I try and trim her nails. At first she tried to pull it off, but she finally relented after a short while and when I finally got to trim her nails, she had calmed down a little – but not enough to trim all her nails in one setting. I have started putting this on her every day to help her get used to it. Throughout the week she would keep it on a little longer each day and by the end of the week I was able to trim her nails a little longer. I hope when the thunderstorms start in a few months that the hoodie will help her be calm (being a puppy she hasn’t encountered one yet). Watching her get used to the hoodie through the week, I can see that it helps with how excited and anxious she gets, and it makes her focus more on me than her surroundings. It does not calm her 100%, but it does help. I do recommend trying this for anxious dogs or just helping them focus on you. I actually do not think there is anything that would 100% calm my puppy but this hoodie is a good start.

I got a little unruly when I picked a size small. I have an 11 month old cocker spaniel, and it seemed like a small should fit him if the picture included in the listing was of a pitbull wearing this thing. The small was much smaller than I expected, but if I am honest it DOES fit my cocker spaniel. It just requires some extra finagling to get his ALL of his ears tucked up inside. At least we can finally have dinner time without him walking away from the bowl with food and water debris in his ears.

This looks so silly but my dog doesn't mind.My "old man," as I call him, is 16 and doing ok, but in play with our puppy, he acquired a hematoma—an internal bleed of the ear. We needed to protect his ears and this hood mostly did the trick. Unfortunately, puppy figured out how to pull it off the old man so its value was limited but that's not the fault of the hood.Well-made, it fits extremely well and would be great to protect ears from injury or cold, assuming you don't have a puppy working on it.

I ordered this comfort hood for my puppy to help her if she gets anxious. She's only a baby so this doesn't fit her snugly yet, but it definitelly has a calming effect on her. The hood is very cute, and smells like lavender and fully encapsulates the head and neck area. The material is about the thickness of a sweater and is soft to the touch and the sizing seems correct. It isn't slippery because of its 42% acrylic conatruction. My puppy is 8 lbs and the Small says 10 lbs is the minimum weight so it makes sense that it's just a little loose on her.Overall, I really like this hood and I think it will work well for comforting her in anxiety inducing situations. I would recommend this item to others!

As the title says - the idea of it is nice, but unfortunately it's too loose for my dogs. I am not able to make sure that their ears are tucked away properly to muffle out any noise.

I have several dog calming ear cover type hats now, and this is my new favorite. It fits my dogs head very well and it is soft and cozy. There is no stiff velcro anywhere and no elastic cords or anything, it feels like a cozy sweater and fits like one too.
