I previously bought one like this that didn’t rotate. I’m repurposing that one because I realized that the rotating feature would make this easier to use on a dining table. I love it! My husband put it together in a couple of minutes. It’s sturdy and so functional.

I liked the idea of a lazy Susan-style napkin holder/salt/pepper tray so decided to give this a shot. It works as advertised, but is a bit more limited than I’d hoped. Constructed exclusively of metal (save for the plastic lazy Susan turntable) and painted a matte black, it’s sturdy and a bit industrial but still understated and attractive. The turntable spins freely and functions as intended (just be sure to not overtighten the locknut or it’ll seize up).Assembly, while only taking about five minutes, was a bit of a chore due to the fact that the unit arrived completely unassembled (think Ikea “flat packâ€). Even though there are literally only five screws and one lock nut, assembly was cumbersome. No big deal though, it’s still a once-and-done proposition.Once assembled, I took it for a spin (so to speak) and found it to be functional and attractive but ultimately it fell short of my expectations for a couple reasons. First, the overall size of the platform base is approximately 9 1/8†x 6 1/2†but the turntable base is only about 4 1/8†in diameter, so if one side of the tray gets a bit overloaded the whole unit tips to the heavy side. This is probably not a huge issue for most people, but we have a set of fairly heavy acrylic salt/pepper grinders that we’ve used for years that we now have to keep on opposing side of the tray lest the grinders tip the whole thing. I think the designers should have definitely gone with a larger spinner mechanism to provide a wider, more supportive base. The second (far bigger) issue for me is that the designers chose to make the napkin holder section just under 2†wide, allowing only a small stack of napkins to be stored. For our family of five that means frequent refills at inconvenient times. It seems like a small detail but when you have to get up from your hot meal to refill the napkins in the middle of dinner it gets tiresome. I’d have much preferred to sacrifice a bit of tray space to gain more napkin capacity.Ultimately, this item is a good concept that’s attractive, sturdy, and functional for smaller families or situations where space is at a premium, but the shortcomings for my somewhat larger family hinder its utility. I’m only dropping one star for my quibbles because they won’t apply to everyone, but larger families may want to look elsewhere.

Easy to build and sturdy, spinning very smooth. Don't stick the foam part on right away though!

I like the overall appearance and function but it tips if weight on either side of napkin holder is not the same.

I returned this item. I was unable to put it together. No matter how I tried the pieces did not fit. I tried and tried several days in a row. I finally gave up and returned it.

This is almost perfect for my needs! I like that it rotates for easier access to items on the other side. My only complaint is the side I wanted to put my silicone coasters. I wish there was a crossbar to prevent items from falling through (towards the napkins). Standard size coasters cannot prop against the bar without falling through, so I had to order 6" silicone coasters. Other than that, I really like it.
