These are probably good bearings, but they did not fit my 2005 GMC Sierra even though this is the part Amazon came up with when searching for parts for my particular truck.

I installed this on a 1988 Chevrolet C3500 with Dana 70-3hd differential. After literally less than two miles, the wheel hub almost fell off the spindle. Upon closer examination, the failure arose from disintegration of the A38 outer bearing. Little but loose roller bearings remained from the original assembly. The A38 failure also damaged the inner bearing. Now both bearings and races and the seal require replacement. National Bearing's technical support says that it has not received complaint of this kind of failure. Counterfeiting name brand parts has has become a growth business. Could I have received a counterfeit rather than a genuine National part?
