I am using this to hold a strap on my hot tub. Corrosion resistance, big throat opening, and easy on/off are the perfect qualities for my application. Quality seems top notch after a couple of months in the weather.

Bought this to use as a locking safety device on anchor chain in case of windlass failure. Needed the 316 SS; as I fish the Gulf of Mexico - good quality; works great locking the chain to boat.

I needed a locking spring snap with large opening for safety chain on utility trailer. This item worked perfectly. Nice and heavy duty.

I bought three different sizes. For the 4" size, I bought four of them, and of those two had issues. One had a latch that didn't close properly, and the other one had a creaky spring. The smaller sizes were fine.I used a digital caliper to provide the measurements in the image chart of the sizes I've purchased. What I call the "Ideal Strap Width" is the width of a strap that would fit nicely in the inner width without bunching and without play.All carabiners are made in Malaysia.
