UPDATE 3/8/2023. Still loving this egg cooker and using it several times a week. Making deviled eggs is now so easy and they come out pock free! When I go to potlucks I now always bring deviled eggs. They are quick, easy and a hit with everybody. Everything I originally wrote is still spot on, except I stated that the cooker turns off. To clarify, you have to turn it off manually. After two and a half years of frequent use, it has held up well. The bottom of the heating unit has scorched water on it. I use a scrubbie to remove most of it, but over time it has built up. It does not seem to have affected the function of the cooker nor the taste of the eggs. A bonus for me: the cooker has the base, egg holder, and lid. When I store it I can break it down and place all items in a shallow drawer. I have gifted two people with this item, and they both love it.This was a gift from my sister, a better-than-average cook who likes to try different kitchen items. She loved it so much, she sent one to me. I love it! I live a mile above sea level, and getting boiled eggs right is a hit and miss and takes forever. I tend to do things at the last minute, so by the time I need a boiled egg, I don't have the time to get it done. This cooker gets my eggs just right in 11 minutes plus about a one minute rest. The eggs peel perfectly when they are still hot and peel perfectly after being in the fridge still in the shell after a couple of days. I typically do 2-4 eggs at a time and they always cook properly. The process is so quick and easy that I now eat eggs 2-3 times a week for my protein: plain for breakfast, in a salad at lunch, mashed for egg salad. Can't wait to try deviled eggs (with no pockmarks from not peeling properly!) The cooker is super easy to clean, most times I just wipe it dry with a paper towel. It is also easy to store. I put it in a kitchen drawer so it's easy to pull out and use. Since I live in an area with hard water, I have been using distilled water to avoid mineral deposits, but this probably isn't necessary. NOTE: the cooker has no buttons or settings, just add water and then plug it in. You add different amounts of water depending upon how many eggs you are cooking and whether you want soft, medium or hard boiled. The cooker makes a low buzzing sound when done and turns off. This seemed odd to me at first (so used to bells, whistles, and options) but it's simple and fool proof. I have been using the cooker for about a month, 1 - 2 times a week. I value the storage space in my kitchen, and chose to move out other items so I could have the egg cooker right at hand. Love it.

This is a game changer with preparing eggs. Simple to follow instructions. Just add the amount of water indicated on the included measure cup for the number and type of eggs you are preparing. This machine can do soft & hard boiled, poached and scrambled eggs. Easy to follow instructions of just add water and perfect results every time. Hard boiled eggs are great as the shells come off clean in large single pieces. Just crack the shell and it just comes off in your hand. No more fighting to remove tiny pieces of shell that stick to the egg. The poached egg tray is nice as well. Perfectly cooked whites with runny yolks, just the way they should be. I can't believe I did not buy this machine sooner. I have used it every day for breakfast since I bought it. I make egg sandwiches and just put the eggs in and let them cook while I prepare my toast and bacon and cheese. The machine has an audible alarm when it is done. This machine has made my morning routine much easier. If you like eating eggs, this machine is for you.

"I can get the same thing putting them in a pan of water on the stove!" - my ever-practical mother said when she found out I bought this. But can you really get the same thing? I don't think so. I've boiled the water right out of the pan because I've forgotten I put eggs on to boil. I've over-boiled them so that you could throw the egg against the wall and it would bounce like a Super Ball. Nasty! Pull the eggs too soon - yolk in the middle. Boil them a little harder one time than the next - green yolks and rubber eggs. So not the same thing because this will give you perfect boiled eggs every single time. I love this Presto egg cooker. It was inexpensive and does the job. I think what sold me on this one was the shape and the fact that it automatically shuts off when the water is gone. It does have an annoying buzzer that won't quit (once it shuts off) too and it doesn't stop until you unplug it; probably could have gotten away with just a little buzz to sound off the eggs being done, and then the automatic shut off, but it's not a deal breaker for me. This also comes with a little bonus poaching tray for 2 eggs (not a fan of poached), but I tend to use that for putting a few pieces of broccoli on and steaming my broccoli.

It made some nice hard boiled eggs. I made egg salad for my father. My only qualm is that the power cord is very short. I had to rearrange my kitchen counters to get it to reach an outlet. The buzzer is the strangest thing I've ever heard. When it went off I thought it was my TV, lol. It reminded of that sound you hear when they announce a national weather emergency or something. I would recommend it. Oh, I didn't use an egg peircer and none of the eggs cracked.

I really like this egg cooker. It takes the guesswork out of making hard-cooked eggs. You simply adjust the amount of water for soft, medium or hard-boiled. And it makes great poached eggs, too! I spray the poach egg tray with cooking spray and they slide right out when cooked. I have noticed that regular eggs peel easier than Egglands Best. Not sure why that is. So I buy both kinds of eggs now. This is a worthwhile purchase that I highly recommend!

Very easy to use. Relatively easy to clean a very little mess. Steams jumbo eggs just fine. No piercing of the egg. Booklet had great tips and I learned about eggs. I never knew that older eggs shells separate from the egg more easily than fresh eggs and the whys. I never liked the mess of boiling eggs in water. I either undercooked or over cooked them and the yoke had a green ring around the yoke. Now it looks just right. This will be a piece of cake to make deviled eggs for a party. If we ever get out of the Covid-19 state we are in.

This product is simple to use, clean and store. It is versatile and durable. It has become a mainstay in my kitchen and I have bought a second one just in case I accidentally drop it in water as I did my first one (laugh) but, the product itself is well worth the money. Yes, I would recommend this product 7 days a week.
