I use these slate boards for my bearded dragons to bask on. They hold the heat well and are easy to wipe clean if any messes are made. The size is perfect for my adult beardie (see photo). If this is the reason why you are looking at this product, I highly recommend it!

This product is the perfect size for a basking platform for my bearded dragon. It holds heat well and is easy to clean. There are no sharp edges and it came packaged super well and no cracks in sight. When I most certainly, yet accidentally drop this one in I would definitely replace it with this item again. It’s a great product for its price!

I used it as a basking slate for my reptile and it is the perfect size. It gets pretty warm under the basking bulb. It is a great quality option especially for the price. It also looks nice in the enclosure.

Little dude loves it! Thick enough to hold heat, sturdy enough for a bearded dragon. Very scratch resistant as his claws don’t scratch it at all. Looks great in his enclosure. He can’t speak on the cheese part as he isn’t a big fan of cheese.

I got this to use as a basking surface for my bearded dragon. Works great & looks great. My beardie loves it. The only complaint I have is that it leaves little tiny slivers/crumbs of slate - even after washing it.I would never use it for its intended purpose, food.
