Corriedale wool is popular among fiber artists and crafters of all stripes. It is a medium fiber with a width of around 25-30 microns, and with a relatively good staple length of between 3-5 inches. It has a very well-defined crimp, and while difficult to spin fine, it makes a wonderfully bouncy DK or heavier weight yarn. Its medium fiber means that not everyone will be comfortable wearing it directly against skin, but it makes superior outerwear, hat, gloves, rugs, and other housewares. While felters love it for its ability to easily felt, knitters, weaver and crocheters will love it for its grippy-ness; colorwork and weaving done with Corriedale won’t slip around or become loose.

I use this wool for the core of 3-D needle felting. Works great with only a few bits of hay seed etc. It’s not real white, but rather closer to the natural color of sheep. It’s perfect for covering with whatever roving I’m working with. If I’m doing an animal it’s a good natural white for the animal.

I use this to felt my handmade cold processed soaps. It "felts" beautifully, and all the bars came out so nice. It doesnt take much wool to felt a bar, so this was plenty to do several. I purchased this brand in several colors and blended them as well, they all look nice. Very satisfied with the results.

Used this to make felted soap. There’s a lot in the package. I added a few pieces of color to the natural when I used it to make felted soap. Felted beautifully.

This roving wool is so soft, it is good quality and saves you money in the long run. It is good for needle felting with and is a lovely core wool.

I dodnt see the small print, this may say white, but it is actually ecru, a natural beige, undyed. I will use it, but not the colour i hoped for.
