This wool is perfect. It is perhaps the cleanest I have purchased, not even fuzz balls. I was a little disappointed that it didn't smell like a sheep as some reviewers said. I found no odor at all. It is soft, but felts so quickly that it is perfect for the core. The little birds I made are core and no tops. Others I made with the black core that did not show through dark top colors.As for the vacuum sealed packaging, I can't imagine why anyone would complain. There is no need to fluff it up at all. I always squeeze air out of my bags of wool to store them...it takes up a lot less space.And the price is lower than most and waaay lower than many.So, glad I found this treasure. Of course, I will buy the white now.

Listen — this came as advertised: it’s wool, it’s good for felting (not soft mind you, but perfect for felting), it’s a nice large quantity. I just want to mention, and maybe this seems obvious, but it smells straight up like a sheep. It does appear totally clean and fine, but it seems… minimally processed. Just a heads up.

Wool is good quality for felting. Smells VERY strongly of hay/sheep though. Currently letting it air out before starting the project I want to use it for.
