Love that it lights up enough to see in a dark room, could even read by its light. Sound is good (on the loud side) fire crackling and crickets (personally could do without crickets). I’m using it for a game where the Torch Bearer is very important so I put some brown duck tape over the sound holes to muffle it a little so we can hear ourselves but still have it on. A bit small for adults, perfect for kids. Wish they made a twice larger size one for LARP but this is portable so maybe the best size. I love it for what it does how it looks and the price was great

This light makes an insane noisy crackling sound. The two I bought were silenced by:Twist the top flame plastic light cover to remove it. Carefully remove the screws on the branch portion and separate the halves. The speaker is a disc at the top surrounded by wires: cut the left most yellow wire only.Reassemble the torch and it should work silently.

I wanted a safe simple torch for my pumpkin king costume and this fits it perfectly.

Great for all you or your kids "get out of my swamp" needs. I like that it flickers, didn't mind the janky recording since I can't hear it at concerts, but wish it would stay lit more than a few seconds. I might take it apart for this since it's the only cool looking toy torch I've seen for this niche purpose.

This torch looks so cool. It is hard plastic and molded to look like a fiery torch, which is just so awesome. It would be 5 stars easy, if not for the horrible noise that the torch makes. It’s very loud, extremely grating, and there is no way to turn it off if you want the torch to be lit up. I tried covering the speaker completely with my hand and it was still way too loud to use. I folded a microfiber cloth into many layers and tried taping that over the speaker, but it was still excessively loud, plus it diminished the look. I cannot overstate how annoying the noise is. The other issue is that you have to press the button to light it up and it doesn’t stay on. It only stays on for a few seconds. If you want it to stay on longer, you have to press the button again and hear that awful noise, which continues as long as it’s lit so you can’t even enjoy the look of the lit torch.

The sound is very poor. It’s a cheap toy but not not worth what I paid.
