We’ve elevated our most popular treasure chest design by adding a padded velvet lining to the interior of the chest. The inside of the rounded top lid and bottom and sides of the box is elegantly lined with quality red velvet, and underneath the velvet is a medium-density batting giving it a soft and padded feel.
Our traditional treasure chests are unlined and have a wood interior, but if you’re looking for something a bit more unique and luxurious than our padded velvet lined boxes are you for you.

This is a spectacular product. I selected it to use as a photo prop. It's exceptionally authentic. The wood is beautifully finished and could actually be the built how it was actually made back in the days of pirates and privateers, for sure.All the details are spot on with the iron studs and metal stripping nailed to the top and the 8 corner brackets on the side. The lock works, and the fabric on the interior is a padded velour (not velvet, which would have been nicer), but as a total this is a very fun authentically produced chest.Because I picked the smaller chest, there are no handles on the side, as there are with the larger models. I'm not bothered by that at all.I'm so pleased, and I will TREASURE this for a long time to come!Without hesitation I can provide a 5-star review for this item. It's just great!

This thing is amazing. I got it for me but my daughter thinks it looks like treasure and has commandeered it from me. The entire thing is solid and well made. you can tell it is handcrafted or something. The inside feels nice and silky and is nicely padded for anything you want to store in it. i love the key and lock and it reminds me exactly of what I would find it on a pirate ship.

This is the perfect gift and better yet the perfect box for a gift. It's unique and will impress. This box really spoke to me. I can't wait to find the perfect thing to put in it to impress folks. I'm sure I will use it for a backdrop for my videos.

The chest itself is quite nice. Strong hinges, nice decorative flourishes that are all metal, and the lining is soft and plush. The lock is an interesting touch, making something already rustic that much more interesting. Unfortunately, the one we received had no pin for the latch, causing it to fall off inside of the packaging. Also, one of the aforementioned flourishes was dented, revealing the thinness and fragility of the metal adornments on the top.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend who is into all things pirates. I didn't want a plastic replica chest, I was looking for something made out of real wood with a solid build quality and this met my expectations in that regard, certainly worth the price. I'm pretty sure my friend is going to love it (including the contents I've put inside, including a bit of pirate yo ho ho liquid refreshment). It's a great pirate keepsake.
