I really love this product. It is perfect for placing my knitting projects on hold and freeing up needles. The only downside is that the product does smell. You have to leave it out for a few weeks for it to quit smelling. But I really do love the product

I used this to make frogging my knitting project back to one specific row so much easier. I just threaded it onto a needle, pulled it through the right side of the V all the way across, and frogged. Then the hollow middle allowed me to pop the line right onto my needles to easily pop all the stitches back onto my needles. Super easy to use and saved me a lot of time!

The smell is absolutely awful no matter what you do. If you set it next to a window to air out overnight, it doesn't matter. It is horrendous to the point that you cannot use this. Do not order this!

I’ve used barber wire before to hold stitches, but bought this brand because of the toggle. It holds the wire well and doesn’t allow stitches to fall off even when trying on for size. The only downfall is the smell of the plastic-they need to be aired out.

I was looking for the locks to help push up long rows of stitches on my circular needles for faster knitting. I park one lock on the cable an inch or two from the needle while knitting flat, and it keeps me from having to push the stitches up onto the needle as I go. When I'm ready to put it down, I just grab the stopper from the side with no stitches and put it on the needle end, blocking the stitches from being pulled off the needle. The fact that this set came with 3 sets of locks AND the extender tubing was a pleasant bonus. The tubing is not only great as a stitch holder, I also like to use it for provisional cast ons or to run along an edge to make it easier to pick up stitches later. This set is great value!

I have no idea why but as soon as I opened the package the smell of skunk was strong. I'm not talking about the smell of ganja...I'm talking about full on skunk-sprayed-a-foot-away-from-this-cord smell. I cut off a piece and tried to wash it several times with dish soap but enough of the smell remains that I can't possibly use this for my knitting. It's too bad, too, because ai really like the actual cord. Can anyone explain the smell???

This would have worked well except that my stitches were too small for the diameter or the cord. I returned it. Would be been great for size 6 or larger. Very good alternative to yarn bits for holding stitches. Liked the stoppers as well.

This product smells terrible! I won't be using it because I'm afraid the smell will transfer to my knitted fabrics. Terrible!

I'm currently using this on a sweater I'm knitting but when you opened the package i was taken aback by how smelly gassing I had to leave it outdoors overnight to take the smell away. So far it's okay to use as a safety line in knitting or crocheting. May have to come back and do a second review.
