This mat is pretty heavy duty and a great size as well. Since this is my first time owning a cat, I'm learning as I go. The mat does work great! It's large enough to have a lot in front of the litter box, or I can slide it under the litter box if I need less. It's working great for our teenage kitten. Now the issues. It's not that easy to clean. A broom gets some of it, a vacuum gets some of it, but to really clean it I've been taking it outside and using the waterhose on it and letting it dry. Guess I'll have to use the shower during the cold months. It's made from some kind of rubbery material and although it does a good job of holding loose litter when you need it to, it also holds it when you want to clean it. I believe I read where you can just vacuum it up, and you can to a point. But to really clean it well, it's gotta have some water pressure behind it. I would probably buy this again because it is heavy and made well, and still looks brand new after having it a couple months. But the cleaning isn't as easy as they say. That's why it got 4 stars instead of 5. It is a pain to clean to make sure everything is out of the fiber. My cat loves it, I like how it holds onto litter as he's leaving the box, and cleaning it every few days to make sure it's clean is my only drawback.

Works great! It’s crazy how much litter this mat can actually hold. It’s easy to shake off and vacuum. Will get another one.

Catches 98% of the cat litter. Our cat has really long hair so cat litter used to be all over. Now, there is very little to none.
