I really enjoy these. They work perfect and do exactly what they were designed to do. I got two for some pacing room and swivel cord bits (again, due to pacing). Also, now that the cats aren't able to chew the cord, it is another win for this product. I do highly recommend getting swivel points for a cord like this.

My mother’s landline cord was getting tangled everyday and she struggled to answer the phone. I found this retractable cord and was skeptical that it would work. Worked great for about two weeks then would not retract and caused more headaches. Ended up throwing it in the trash and marking it up as money wasted.

At first, the product was working great but as time goes on the wire’s memory is becoming a bit messy and doesn’t allow the wire to fully retract back into the reel.

I bought this for my work phone because the standard spiral cable kept getting into the way of my mouse when the phone was not in use. The concept is good, but poorly executed by this manufacturer.Two major issues, the latter possibly as a result of the former: 1) The spring is too strong. There should be just enough tension for the cord to rewind itself when the handset is put into the cradle, but because of how strong the spring is, it's constantly pulling on the handset. It's not too unmanageable if you are holding on to the handset, but if you need to use your hands and try to do the ear-shoulder pinch, the tension will pull the speaker away from your mouth. 2) The product broke after less than 2 weeks of use - I think this was the 8th business day since I installed it. My guess is that it's probably related to the strain put onto the plug by the extended cord during the times I was actually using the handset. I reinstalled the old cable and the phone works fine, so the failure was definitely in this cord.

This is a great retractable cord for my office. I hated that I had that curly cord messing up my desk. It would grab papers or curl around my pens. This keeps my desk nice and clean. The only thing I wish was that it had the ability to lock in place for those long phone calls. That's why the 4 stars, instead of 5.
