Works great for about a year and then the coating on the magnet part falls off.... Only happens on the Sedra pumps I own. This is my 5th impeller replacement for my skinmmer.

This part is identical to the impeller it replaces and works as expected. I don't expect it to last any longer than other replacement impellers, they rust internally, swell and crack like the original.

These things are fine for a while. We get a few power outages per year, usually killing the use of my protein skimmer due the magnet enlarging, effectively seizing the pump. Here I am purchasing another one. It has become a maintenance cost in the hobby.

I JUST REPLACE THE OLD ONE I HAVE NOT COMPLAINS ABOUT HOW IT WAS WORKING. I LIKE HOW THIS WORKS.
