I ordered this for my mother who has been doing needle point, knitting, etc her entire life. Bargello is hard to find in the stores so we went to trusted Amazon. She is very pleased with the book and said there were many beautiful patterns in it. The shipping was much quicker than I expected.

This book is exactly what I needed for my collection of Needlepoint books. All my other books are different I am looking forward to trying out these new patterns.

Like Kaestner’s other two books, the book is much better than its cover. My copy is a well bound paperback in excellent condition. My only complaint is that all the color photos are grouped at the end of each chapter instead of facing the corresponding chart. The color choices have not aged well, but I don’t want or need help picking colors, so this is a minor issue for me. The best part of this book is the wealth and diversity of patterns shown. Dorothy does not copy others; her designs are her own and sometimes quirky! If you already have a lot of Bargello patterns and are looking for more, for some not found elsewhere, look no further. This Kaestner book includes both row patterns and four-way or mitered patterns. She really has no rival in four-way Bargello.

Well, perhaps not, but her designs are just gorgeous. My only problem with her books is the trouble I have choosing a design and choosing colors - they are all just so great.

It was delivered quickly and well-packaged. The book provided information for serious bargello artisans but not what I was looking for. I certainly was a bargain for the price.
