This filter honestly does wonders!Name brands like PrismFX go for $100 or more sometimes, and NEEWER can do it for a fraction of that and still provide the similar if not the same quality filter!I have used this filter for some of my Rave/Dj photography and I cant take it off! gives lights that nice glow effect and makes light soft and less harsh.

Installed this when I wanted to add a little glow effect to my practical lighting in the studio. Worked great. The muted colors between the two images is the iPhone over-exposing and me not tweaking the output of the FX30 for better color saturation.Happy with the results and a great deal at that. I also purchased a step up/down ring for it to use on several lenses. It also worked great.

The diffusion gives a nice presence to my images. Not as strong as glamour diffusion but great for my needs.

I'm not sure if the Tiffen filters are better or not, but for the price of both of these, you can't go wrong. I use this on my 85mm Sony Prime. The softness is just enough to give edges a bit of a haze. Looks really good for portraits. These actually have a great effect in night shooting too.

I bought this trying to mitigate excessive spending from other brands. Come to find, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. The 1/8 is subtle but aptly suited for those that appreciate minimal halation in the highlights. I too found the glass to be better than other budget brands. The same can be said for the multi coated surfaces.For a brand not often shared in name with the likes of its competitors, I think this is an excellent choice for those that are budget oriented. If ever I needed another and was offered the choice to purchase at a discount again I would not hesitate.

I have 2 tiffen 1/8 Black Pro Mist filters that I love. I bought a larger lens they wouldn't fit in and figured if try this neewer version for less than 1/2 the cost, and I'm quite satisfied. I did comparisons in day, in evening, with back-lit subjects, without etc... It's entirely possible there is a condition where the neewer and the tiffen perform differently, but I haven't experienced it yet. Hopefully it's not more prone to scratches, time will tell. For the money, this is a solid performer. Recommended!

Works exactly as expected and gives me the subtle blooming I was looking for. In the past I’ve also used K&F and I feel the results are pretty much the same.
