The quality of this adapter is great, very nice. I was surprised how small and light this was, not sure what I was expecting but it surprised me so I must have been expecting it to be larger. I'm using a Sony A7iv and it slides right int the hot shoe mount, don't really need to use the locking nut as it is fairly snug. I'm using a Hollyland Lark Max and a DJI Mic receiver and though they do both slide in they are snug because of the little spring loaded ball retainers. I have been only sliding them over one of the balls, not both and it is very snug. The little balls only provide a point of contact when sliding so it is creating a fine scratch/mark on the tab of both mics. I like the spring loaded ball for added tension but I wish the tension was a bit less so it didn't mark the tab so much. I looked underneath hoping to see a set screw that tensioned the balls (as this is the way these are installed a lot of times) but they must be press fit from the top so there is no way to adjust the tension. Maybe they will soften over time but the damage will be done already. Don't get me wrong, it's not a deal breaker but I would prefer a lot less tension or even no ball at all for the way I use it.

Initially it felt very loose then I realized you need to tighten both sides. After tightening, it works very well with my DJI Pocket 3.

Great way to secure DJI mic 2 receiver to the camera cage. Wish the hole on the bottom was threaded.

I recently purchased the 12L14 Steel Thumb Screw with a Black Oxide Finish, and I have mixed feelings to share. First and foremost, there's no denying the exceptional quality of this product. I recommend it to those for whom budget is not a primary concern and who prioritize the highest quality in their hardware components.

YES! This is the answer to a loose DJI receiver in a cold shoe. It fits snugly and is not going anywhere. Props to Neewer for coming up with a solution that, frankly, DJI should have dealt with before they released the product!

So the male part that is supposed to slide into the female part of a cold shoe is too wide therefore does not slide in. Unfortunately it is past my return period or else i would return it.
