This product appears to be heavy duty and time will tell whether it is durable. The construction includes a relatively thick gauge steel body to protect the internals; a small window on one side of the body allows access to the small ratchet arm that is used to raise and lower the rubber foot. 5/5 for ease of use.I used these castors for a portable workbench. The bench itself is about 200# and the castors are mounted to the bottom of 4x4 legs. The ratcheting rubber feet work as expected and are easy to use, providing a stable base for projects. The fact that you can ratchet each castor independently means that you can level the workbench on any reasonable surface. The only drawback I have noticed is that the ratchet arms can be kicked, or otherwise inadvertently be moved by accident, which can un-level the surface. If you are careful not to accidentally hit the ratchet arms, then this is a solid 5/5 for sturdiness; however, the fact there is no lock on these arms seems like a design flaw, so 4/5 for sturdiness. Finally, for installation I gave 4/5. This is in-part, my fault. Instead of installing these castors in a way that allowed me to use the provided hardware (i.e., machine bolts and nuts), I was using 5/16"x3" machine screws to mount them to the ends of the 4x4 legs of the bench. Since the dimensions of the 4x4 post is actually 3.5"x3.5", the 3.5"x3.5" face of the mounting plate on each castor completely covers the end of the post and leaves minimal space in each corner to sink the screw. I drilled pilot holes and was able to mount the castors using my machine screws. Since the screws were 3" long, it was difficult getting the heads to slide past the body of the castor while still driving straight into the mounting surface. I found that by swiveling the body so the ratchet cutout was facing the screw, the head clears earlier, and once the bolt head clears the body of the castor, it can be screwed in the rest of the way without obstruction. This would have been 5/5 if I had mounted it to an easier surface. It was actually difficult to get the screws far enough into the corner to match the bolt holes on the mounting plate without leading to a blowout on the 4x4 corners, and while managing the longer hardware... from an adaptability perspective it retains 4/5 on install. If you mount it as intended, it should be super easy to install.I would recommend this product, and I would use this product again.

So I just received these today so I have not set them up yet. This is a preliminary review so I will follow up later. My application is a very heavy sturdy wooden workbench. using 4x4s, 2x4s and a 30"x72"x1.75" butcher block top. I will have it in my basement and I want to have it stationary and put in a corner when not using then roll it out when I need to use it. The hardware that it came with will not be suitable for wood. I plan to use 5/16" lag bolts to attach to 4x4s (legs). These seem very sturdy and initial operations seem smooth and effortless. BEWARE you can walk the foot right out of the adjusting screw! I will put a mark at the limit of the stationary feet so this does not happen. But I wouldn't recommend having your hand or other appendage near them. Especially with a heavy object. I would also recommend just get it were it just contacts the floor and off the caster wheel. This should be plenty of room, just don't extend it all the way to the maximum height. I will post an update when I complete my project.

I built a stand for my anvil and wanted to be able to move it out of the way. These level down and provide rock solid stability for my anvil, no wobbles, solid. The wheels are easy to extend and roll nicely when extended.

These leveling casters are great for their intended purpose of easy raising, moving, then leveling on an uneven surface. They are well made, easy to install, and do generally everything as advertised. That said, these feet are very vibration prone. I installed these feet on a 400lbs automotive fabrication workbench with a vice used to cut metal and due to the soft rubber leveling pad, they flex and move a ton under any sort of load or vibration. I regularly have items walk off of the table when cutting metal with my reciprocating saw with material in said vice. I will be putting these feet on a tool chest and replacing with a more sturdy option.

These are nifty! I needed a solution to be able to make a rolling card super level (for a carefully calibrated record player on top) and this makes it really easy and fairly efficient to get it level no matter where in my room I have the cart.I’ve seen some people complain about it ratcheting while rolling…this does happen, but it’s only a small amount if they rotate the wrong way while trying to steer. You should have cleared the stops from the floor before rolling…in which case this is a non issue.Big fan of these!

These casters are the real deal. They roll well and once you lower the pads to raise the casters off the floor, your work station is as solid as it could be. I used these on a drum sander that I wanted to be very stable when in use, but also portable so I could move it out of my small shop when not in use. These did the job better than I had hoped for. Will buy again for other projects in the future.

We haven’t installed them yet, but they seem very sturdy, well made and easy to use. We’re putting them under our main workbench, which weighs a few hundred pounds—a fraction of what these things can carry.

I like the ratchet mechanism. Easy to move it or down. But wish they use rubber for the wheels to reduce noise when I move my heavy table. Otherwise, it is a good product.

Past the return unfortunately, but going to make my own air activity lifts on each caster. It's just too awkward and miserable to get in behind at ground level and flick the ratchet mechanism back and forth 50 times x 4 casters whenever you want to use it.
