Man, this thing arrived quick! Wasn't expecting it for a week or more from the description, but three days and here it is. Quality looks great for the price. A few minor dings from shipping, has decent powder coating. Spacing on the slots looks like it will work with standard extrusions, will report back if that is incorrect. Needed a bracket that I can use to tension the leadscrew servo/belt on my electronic leadscrew conversion on a lathe, and I think this will do nicely.

The item claims to have a 10mm thickness on both sides, mine was 8.26mm on one side and 8.20mm on the other. Not cool.

This stepper motor mount is built like a tank. It's made of aluminum which is anodized black. The motor mount is 10mm (a little over 3/8 inch) thick.I checked my bracket for squareness and it was a perfect 90 degrees (as close as I could tell with a square and my eyeballs). The product listing for this bracket states "Four M5x8mm screws included". Unfortunately, mine did not come with any screws. This was a minor problem, easily solved by a trip to the hardware store (I needed other parts anyway!)One thing to be aware of is if you mount your stepper motor with the body hanging over the base, there is very little space between the motor and the base (about 5/8 inch), so the length of the screws mounting this bracket to your project chassis will need to be just the right length to engage the nuts, but not so long that they hit the bottom of the motor.Or you may wish to drill and tap your own mounting holes and not use nuts on the top (why didn't I think of this before?)In conclusion, I am completely happy with this bracket. If I had to complain I would say that it's TOO strong (doesn't need to be so thick) and mine didn't come with the advertised screws. Other than that, both thumbs up!

This is so shoddy I'd be embarrassed to put it on anything I make. It looks like it was made using a belt sander built from a worn out chinese rolling pin. I take that back, I've never seen a worn out rolling pin look this shoddy. It's not flat, the "deburring" on the outer surfaces are inconsistent causing the motor to wobble, and a burr the size of a needle popped off of the inner side--and I wasn't trying to dislodge it. It's obviously been thrown numerous times after being made, due to all of the impact marks.Sure, it's strong, but not precise or presentable. It resembles the photo in dimensions, but certainly not in quality.

This is probably the best quality nema 23 mounting bracket available on Amazon. These are machined out of aluminum, not laser cut sheet metal or acrylic.

These are hefty rock solid mounts able to withstand the torque from 470oz motors on my cnc

fits well.I would have preferred one inch spacing on the base holes, but two holes were enough. It's much cheaper than having a mount machined.
