This is a great kit. While we did not use every part, the cable was easy to manage, the carabineers are small but solid, and the turnbuckles are just the right size. We found that running the cable snug first, then taking the cable down to attach the lights was the best technique. Be sure to leave some extra cable in case the weight of the lights makes it hard to reconnect the line to the anchor...you can easily loosen the cable lock to give you an extra inch. The turnbuckles are exactly the right size to take 2-3 inches out of the line once connected. We were very pleased by the quality of everything. This helped us do a job that most would do by just running the lights to the trees at a level that we think will last much longer and withstand stormy weather.

I see so many people hang outdoor light by their cord only. This product takes all the strain off the electrical wire. Once we assembled the first wire we got very quick on the remaining lines. My only criticism of the assortment of parts were the screws and the wire ties. The prepackaged screws just didn’t have deep enough threads to hold securely IMHO. I stopped by my local big box hardware store and picked up a pack of stainless steel screws that would fit in the loops. Second, the wire ties were simply twist ties you find on loaves of bread or attaching toys or parts to cardboard. Here again pick up a handful of small black real, wire ties.We live in a windy area. I did not feel comfortable simply hanging the light string without support! This product helped us put everything up securely.

If you're planning on hanging those commercial-grade outdoor patio string lights, it's best to use a hanging kit vs. draping them directly from place to place. I was hanging about 125 feet of string lights, so this kit was great, as it provides you with all of the tools to do this right. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, and with just me doing the work, it took me about 5 hours to hang everything.Now let's get to the wire. It came tightly wound on a spool and it does the trick as far as tension goes. The spool is 250 feet, so imagine having to pull all that wire through each of these tiny crimping loop sleeves (to create the loops you need for hanging, so you're really doing it twice), and doing this multiple times for each hanging section. Because the wire was tightly spooled, it kept twisting up and kinking as I was pulling it through the loop sleeves, so I spent a ton of time trying to straighten it out every few pulls! While I understand this is what wire does, I thought you should be aware because you may discover a whole new vocabulary of curse words.A couple of tips:1. The kit comes with twist ties to secure the lights to the wire. They looked a little flimsy, and because the light string was pretty heavy, I used small black zip ties instead so the lights would attach more securely.2. Wear a thick work glove on the hand holding the crimpling loop sleeves when you're pulling the wire through it. The sleeves are made of aluminum, and the friction from the wire heats the metal so it gets pretty hot.

Easy to work with, just be patient. Easier to install with a helping hand. Prepare and be patient. Used on Enbrighten brand patio lights. Cable cuts through patio light rubber material if not installed gently. We recommend this brand of patio lights. Surely there are other good brands. Hope this info is helpful.

Didn't need all the items it came with and also was a little un sure of the strength of the wire. But quickly found out that it was the best way to go! BEST purchase I could have made to make my 150ft lights the star of the back yard... Worked out great!!Cheaper to buy this package than separate from a hardware store. Even though I did not use every item, still way way better!!! Would buy again without hesitation. 5 STARS!

Very effective for the purpose of a strong and effective multi-porpoise wire. reasonable well designed to use with a variety of attachments to effectively attach wire in different locations and applications

Comes with everything you’d need to hang lights outside. Been in place now for 10 weeks, and no signs of failing, corrosion, or stretching. Amazing!
