Day 4It's quiet now. I don't trust it. I've been hiding out under my desk recovering from yesterday's skirmish. I must remain vigilant, suspicious of the calm.Day 7An unsuspecting intern rounded the corner with a foolishly optimistic pep in his step. The hail of darts corrected this oversight almost immediately. I watched the hope drain out of his wide, gaping eyes as he lay motionless on the floor by the copier. A pool of coffee welled up around his body. For a moment, I felt a twinge of something indescribable. Pity? Relief? Nostalgia? I don't know really.Day 18I'd been out of Diet Coke and pretzels for 2 days. I had no choice but to risk a trek down to the vending machine. But, the break room was heavily fortified by the HR guys. And everyone knew those soulless killing machines made even the sharks in Legal look like Boy Scouts. I was dodging shots from all directions. Diving and somersaulting around the lunch tables. I managed to score 2 granola bars and some iced tea before bailing out... I took 3 darts to the leg. It's bad. I might lose it. Can't think about that now though. Just gotta rest...Day 20I struck up an alliance with the IT troops two cubes down. I trust them about as far as I can throw em, but their stockpiles of Funyuns and Energy drinks sure do compliment my now impressive dart cache well enough. And we'll need all the supplies we can get. Word in the hallway is that Management will be descending any day now. Leg still throbs whenever I move, but it doesn't look like it wants to turn.Day 23I've never seen anything like it! Never! Peeking out over the tops of the wrecked monitors and chairs, more foam than air in the room! God you should have seen it. We took out 9 of those smirking jackals from Management. I'll never forget the look of shock and disbelief on the face of The Director when I let loose my last dart right between her eyes. HaHA! *cough* *cough* God it's so cold now. I can't feel anything below my chest. *cough* Shouldn't be long I suppose. Though... strangely... I just feel... peaceful...I don't regret anythi--

My kids are huge into Marvel and Nerf (we have over 35 Nerf guns in the house) and my youngest loves Hawkeye from the avengers and this is a great way of him to experience what it would be like to be Hawkeye it works well if fires hard and it shoots long range and is fairly accurate hi son absolutely loves it and he is deadly with it

This faux-bow blaster shoots Nerf Elite darts (blue, green, white, orange, purple/grey, and decorated Rebelle darts) at a average of 65 feet per second (FPS) on my ProChrono Digital Chronograph. It has an auto-indexing mechanism that shoots the said darts from it's intergraded clip (not a magazine or a clipazine this time, it is a clip) every time you draw and release the bowstring. The internal air-restrictor (AR) stops the blaster from being damaged when dry-firing, and it does not have the accidental firing problem that some defective Nerf smart-AR blasters have (not all blasters with smart air-restrictors have this misfiring issue, but there are a significant enough amount for me to mention it) because of the auto indexing function. The rigidity of he bow arms are very solid, unlike the Rebelle Revolution Bow (which was so flimsy you could practically bend it in half during use). I whacked myself on the head with it to see if it could cause injury (do not try this at home) and I conclude that it hurts. I also conclude that doing this was stupid, but I sacrifice of myself for the sake of the review. Anyway, the tradeoff here is that the auto-indexing mechanism and the rigidity of the bow adds reliability and consistency of shots to the overall performance of the Stratobow, which I would say are its greatest pros. There are cons, of course, which prevent me from giving this a full 5-star review. The first of the cons is the bulkiness of it, mind you, this is a bow with a blaster built into it (or a bow with a blaster built around it, or whatever) and the aforementioned solid nature of the bow make it dangerous to roughhouse with it. You cannot sling it over your shoulder like a normal bow without worrying about being poked in the eye with the solid tips, nor can you run with it (and fall) while it is mounted on your back or shoulder without the fear of the possibility of an injury. Secondly, and this may be the nature of a bow, but the string whacks your arm when you release it. You have to pay mind to the way you hold and release the string or it could get irritating. The orange rubber knock you see in the picture is resting on a knot in the string and helps the comfort of use. This would be a pro if they found a way for it to stop brushing against your arm every time you fired the blaster. This next con may be nit-picky of me, but reloading the type-writer type auto-indexing clip (for those of you who are too young to know what a typewriter is, it is a manual letter printer that requires the writer to manually reset the machine to the next line while typing a letter) is kind of ghetto. You have to reset the clip to the lowest-most position and reload up to 15 darts one at a time; there is a line of demarcation on the blaster signifying which barrel will fire next on the clip as it advances. At least the user can reload darts on-the-fly, but alas, there is no way to reload another pre-loaded clip like other magazine-fed blasters. In conclusion, this is a bow-blaster that performs better than most (with exception of the Mega Thunder Bow and it's over 80 FPS velocity average) yet is slightly underwhelming because of it's performance and lack of creature comforts. I consider my 4-star rating very generous in light of the cons I have brought forth in my review. People will still purchase this and have tons of fun with it, but perhaps this review will point out that there is still much room for Hasbro to improve on their products (especially the safety concerns).

This nerf bow is awesome! My soon to be 3 year old loves all things nerf but I am often left helping him with every fire as he isnt strong enough to cock the gun. This bow has no such problem. It is easy to pull back and release and manageable for his size. He loves running around calling himself Hawkeye while getting the bad guys. We will see how long it holds up but even for a short period the money is worth the joy.

This bow is fun to use but sometimes the darts fart out or don't even fire. After breaking it in, it has gotten better. I'd say this blaster is gimmicky and is good for wars around the house

Bought this for my grandson. He actually wanted a bow and arrows which, frankly, was never going to happen. Since his brother has a selection of Nerf guns, this seemed a credible alternative. He was delighted and particularly enjoyed the bow's ability to fire 15 darts one-after-the-other without reloading. In common with most Nerf guns, the item is fairly sturdy, though the draw string could be it's Achilles heel. The bow's still going strong a month later. Sadly, can't say the same about the darts!
