This is working great with Comcast Xfinity at 1Gb speed. Setup was plug and play, and I've had no issues since installing it. I paired it with the Eero 7 mesh AP system and it works great.

I bought this to avoid paying a monthly fee for a provider. They provided me with a list and I picked this modem because offers many of the options I wanted GIG lines for speed and easy configuration and integration with my Netgear Orbi Mesh Network (router and satellite). This combination allows for faster downloads and uploads. This system is feeding all of my WiFi-connected data devices and so far no issues.

This wasn't cheap, and it busted in just over a year. I paid MORE of an internet bill to have my own (Xfinity has a deal if you use theirs). Mostly, I just wanted a solid connection to the internet without all the nonsense that comes with the Xfinity models.But considering Netgear quality, I'm not sure it's worth it. I might as well deal with the rental so I can swap it out easily and get better service.I also found articles where Netgear plays games with their warranty services. Just beware all around.

The headline is the deal, 'Bought Renewed with NO REGREATS!!'This was an easy upgrade from my Netgear 1100. It totally captures the full speed of my Comcast 1.2GB service, and it has run without a hitch. That is what you hope for in a renewed product!The price...a wonderful boost to the purchase experience! Be sure to get a factory renewed, then take the plunge. You won't regret it!!______________________________________________________________________________________________Update and Star reduction!!So, it still works brilliantly, but it is NOT A Factory authorized refurb!!! The seller was Verdi, NOT Netgear as advertised in the Amazon ad!?!! When a minor log entry reoccurrence surfaced, I contacted Netgear. The log entry I'd noted did not indicate any modem problem. However, they noted that Verdi is NOT an authorized reseller or refurb center! Amazon should have caught this!!Now it seems that I am on my own. I'll update with whatever course Amazon suggests...______________________________________________________________________________________________Verdi and Amazon are working the confusing ad content out. Verdi did refund $15 and is honoring the 90 day warranty. Still, I'd get the factory refurb for sure!

Amazon offered me a deal on this refurbished modem. Inside the box were instructions to go to xfinity.com/activate to get it working. On the Xfinity website I was directed to install their app, which I did on my phone. After logging in I scrolled down to the 'Got new equipment to set up?', selected 'activate now,' and entered the CM MAC address of my new modem. Then I hooked it up to an AC power outlet & the cable. There's no power switch, it's just on if it's plugged in.The app then told me to wait about 11 minutes, but it didn't take Xfinity quite that long to find it. The the app said to wait about 5 minutes for activation. That 2nd step completed within the 5 minutes stated.Then I hooked my wireless router (an eero Pro 6E) to it and within 3-4 minutes the router's light turned white and the internet was working perfectly!One thing to consider..... if you don't have a decent cell signal in your home I don't know if this procedure will work because when you disconnect your old modem you will not be able to use wifi calling on your phone and your phone has to be connected to a data channel to complete the modem's setup.I don't understand the other reviews here that had so many problems with activation. For me, activation was super easy and the connection has been completely without any interruptions so far.

Wired connections are nuts. Where I was getting 330 Mbs I am now getting over the 1G I pay for. I made sure to flush all my outdated equipment down the toilet and restarted with everything rated at 2.5G. Now the data is flowing.
