This carpet pad had a challenge. I repurposed my unused greenhouse into a study (with heat). I placed the pad between a 6 x 9 sheet of plywood and carpet. It worked out perfectly. There was no odor. It does not appear to be attracting moisture and it cushions the rug which was inexpensive to feel as if it was thick. (I wanted a polyester rug for moisture control.) It does not move at all.

This non slip rug pad is okay! It does not slip it self but the actual rug does. I was hopping this rug pad was going to make it easy for me to vacuum my rug and keep it from moving but it is not. Overall good quality and easy to cut to size:

Good rug pads like this one are expensive but so worth it. Every time you step on the rug it will feel so much more stable and comfy. It will look better, wear better, and stay in place better. You deserve it and so does your rug!

I have a faux fur area rug on top of my carpet that is constantly shifting around. Regular non stick rug pads do not work rug on rug. I should know as I've tried them all.I was worried the thickness of this pad would be too much and feel bulky, but I feel it actually works better than normal thin ones. I've had it under my area rug for a couple of weeks and it hasn't shifted at all. Not to mention it makes the rug very comfortable under my feet.It was very easy to cut also. My area rug is round so I cut the pad to fit no problem.I recommend this, especially for those looking to use under a rug on top of carpet.

This rug pad seems decent although it's kind of thin, hard to cut to size, and smelly. I am told my my carpet dude these products are unnecessarily expensive, and I agree. This is just OK. See my reviews for another product that I recommend for this application.

I wish it were a bit cashier, but that's mainly my fault. Maybe I'll add another on top for some squish effect.

Very pleased with this rug pad. Laid down nicely and stayed put. It was really easy to roll the rug out on top of it. I bought a different one for another rug and it was awful - the kind with all the squares that is just like shelf liner - what a pain! I read mixed reviews about the thickness so I wasn't sure. It's plenty thick for my liking. It's just slightly smaller than 5x7 which I like - you don't have to trim anything. Adds a nice cushion to an inexpensive rug that I bought. If I ever need another one, I'll definitely go this route again. BTW, mine was laid over tile flooring.
