If you truly hate sound & don’t want to hear what’s playing this is just the speaker you need. It is poorly made, poorly designed Chinese garbage not even up to the quality of a product sold on Wish. the cord is a flimsy cheap wire reminiscent of the terrible earpieces that came with 1970s transistor radios the speaker is weak at best and the housing is ready to break right out of the flimsy bag. Destined for quick breakage.Plugged into my 3.5mm stereo jack and with the volume on full I had to press this tiny white piece of garbage to my ear to hear anything. I know it’s not a problem with the source. I have headphones and earbuds I use regularly. From what I could hear The sound quality itself was tinny and terrible. I only gave the portability 2 stars because of the ease of carrying it across the room to the garbage can.At just under $7.00 it is priced about $11.00 too high.

It has no volume of course, don't place it onder the pillow because you'd hear nothing.

The speaker on my Alexa went out, I thought this would be a good workaround to getting a new Alexa. I work on the phone and always just like to have the radio on for background noise, so it's not like I am blasting music all the time. I plugged in this speaker, turned the volume all the way up and it sounded like a complete whisper. Extremely low quality and flimsy. Go to Wal-Mart and spend $10 to buy something actually worth it.

works great and for a reasonable price. don't need a volume control since I use it on my Alexa.
