So this is one of the best quality pieces I have purchased for a DIY guitar project. Sorry Stewmac ! I make my own guitars as a hobby but had to try this out for feel and dimensions for future projects of mine. The top is not a thin veneer that can easily be sanded off but an actually piece of .5" book match maple like a carved top piece would be. All of the wiring grooves are in and well done !! The POT holes ,(controls), are at .28 " more for a mini style of potentiometer but can be opened up. Set in heel necks for this body are limited , do to it's narrow style rout, but available. If I could put a ten star rating I would !

I bought this body knowing it had some things that needed work. I liked that it did not have the bridge or tail stop holes predrilled. For those expecting this to be close to an LP it isn't. The body is too thin. The hole for the jack needs to be drilled out. Looks like it will need a bit of router work on the switch cavity and possibly the knob and pick ups. That said....the wood looks great and the quality of the top is excellent. Binding work isn't bad. I actually like this because its going to be light weight due to being about 1/4" thinner than an LP body. I think it will be a cool project.

I got the neck+body, they did not match up tight as you can see in my photos, a lot of sanding to get a close-enough to hang on the wall n look at type of satisfaction, i don't think it's ever going to be playable but it sure looks pretty from far away.

Expected better for the price. Decent body but required lots of modifications. Quality is on par with most China kit guitars. But for the price I was expecting a bit better. Pickup routes needed to be enlarged, Thin veneer, etc I managed to make a nice guitar from this body, but next time I will just buy a cheap kit and save some money. The back cavity even had a routing error so you couldn’t properly attack the cover. I managed to fix by carving a piece and glueing in place to fill the gap.

There was one area on the top that was very thin and nasty bubbling occurred and small holes appeared when I sprayed the laquer on it. I have been fighting to get this to look good for a month. You get what you pay for.

I'm a fairly novice kit guitar builder at this point. Did a few kits, progressively turning out better and better, still a long way to go however. This kit is not a turn key kit like others you can get, however for the price, you get a whole lot of guitar for the money. Mahogany body, maple cap, and flame maple veneer at this price point is a huge bargain. I actually like kits that don't make you buy the cheap hardware that comes with kit guitars. There are so many really cool pickup rings, bridges and knobs not to mention better pots and pickups out there. There was quite a bit of additional routing and chiseling and dremeling to do. Don't get this kit if this is your first kit guitar you are attempting. There's quite a bit of know how and basic guitar geometry that you need to know first hand before attempting a kit like this one.Neck pocket was nice and snug when you buy the associated neck, however fitment was nominal at best. Tiny gaps here and there, and it isn't flush at the cutaway side. The neck isn't quite wide enough to sit flush with the body. Either way had a really fun time building this kit. I'm not sure if I would order another one of these however. Like other reviews have stated, cavities need to routed out further, switchcraft 3 way toggle and output jack doesn't fit (maybe if you're using cheaper smaller electronics it would), and standard control plates doesn't quite fit either. Although it's a nice excuse to try and make custom back plates out of scrap wood or other materials.Definitely not a 5 star body, but for the price and what you get 4 stars I think is an appropriate rating as long as you know what you are getting yourself into. Everyone complaining about glue residue blah blah blah, it's not something you can avoid nor would I ever expect a kit guitar not to have random glue spots here or there.

Wasn't expecting it so soon, good delivery service. Well packaged and protected with polystyrene. Has a stunning maple top. I haven't started work on it yet but it all appears to be good. Neck pocket is 38mm width. Would highly recommend.

O produto vem bem acabado, com alguns detalhes mas nada relevante. Ja vem com binding, que era algo que eu estava em duvida quando comprei. Tenho uma ressalva quando ao en aixe do braço que veio um pouco inclinado demais, mas não afeta a tocabilidade pois fica escondido na cavidade do captador. Outro detalhe importante é que, a cavidade do captador do braço é um pouco estreita e a escala termina bem na borda, e atrapalhou encaixar o captador de forma correta, foi necessario lixar um pouco. Mas no fim ta tudo certo. Excelente produto
