I misplaced my calibration mike years ago...needed a replacement as I've changed speakers and added a rear channel. This microphone was identical to the original, and after calibration, my system sounds great again! I did trip over the signal wire twice because it's thin and black and I was preoccupied. Might be better if these were made in day-glow orange!

I added a second sub to my pioneer home theater system and that was when I noticed I had miss placed or lost my "speaker set up mic". I searched for the pioneer model but was unsuccessful. I purchased the Sony model in hopes that it worked and it did. It was delivered quick, seemed to be a fair price and worked great with my older pioneer elite 5.2.4 system.

I needed to re-calibrate my Marantz AVR for a new center channel speaker, but couldn't find the OEM microphone that came with it. This worked just fine.

I looked around for a replacement for my Sony STR-DH790 receiver so I can get the complete system. It easy to use, all you have to do is plug it into the calibration port and set it in the area where you sit and auto calibrate.

It was as easy as plugging it in and pressing a button. It went through the sond testing and I recieved only one message. "Complete" the system sounds good to me now. It sounded good before the calibration too. So; money well spent?
