Needed spoons badly as they have seemed to disappear more than other utensils over the years, go figure. Anywhoo, I liked this design for it's steamlined simplicity while having some adornment. They are definitely dinner spoons, perhaps a tad bigger than I would have liked but equally can work as serving spoons as well. They DEFNITELY DO NOT feel cheap! They have some heft to them, that's for sure. They are true to their name in that there is no staining, either handwashed or in the dishwasher. In fact they make the other spoons in my drawer look cheaper and of lower quality (not that any of them are silver). I would order these again as well as get matching utensils.

When I read the reviews on these spoons, and saw that someone had 4 cats in their house, so they were always short on spoons I immediately thought "These are the solution for my long lasting cat v. spoon problem!"I've only got one feline flatware pilferer, but my spoons have been steadily going missing for a year.These spoons are pretty hefty and well balanced so I imagine they will be just too heavy for my cat to get a good grip on. It's nice to see they've considered these things in the design room.Kitty was watching me scoop out hard ice cream from the container with interest as the spoon didn't bend at all, so I have the feeling I'm not the only one impressed with their solid construction.At basically the price of dollar store flatware, I can't get too mad if I need to replace them again, but for now I've affordably replenished my family's spoon needs for a little over a buck a piece.

These are indeed very spoonlike spoons, suitable for all sort of spoonage. They are sturdy and have a reasonably heavy feel in the hand. They are a good size--a bit larger than the spoons you'd typically find at Walmart for a similar price (and much heavier!). The only complaint, and this isn't really a knock on the spoony part of the spoon, is that the base of the handle is too wide to fit in the general silverware holes in the basket for such in my dishwasher; they only fit in the larger holes on the sides of the silverware basket, and I've only got eight of those. So I cannot wash all the spoons at the same time, unless I wish to do so by hand like a barbarian.

These spoons work really well. They have a nice, sturdy feel to them and look nice. I seem to lose spoons for some reason and these are a great replacement for a great price. My kids like the size for eating cereal. While it's not a soup spoon specifically, it works well for soup, just big enough.

I have ordered lots of this style (forks, knives, etc) as I have five young kids and my silverware disappears. It's inexpensive but still strong and looks decent. I meant to order teaspoons and got these dessert spoons instead which are tablespoon size. Will keep and reorder the correct size!

So our son has decided to throw away or spoons and forks, and this usually happens when we turn away. At first we though I was the culprit until we saw him do it. My husband was the one to pick these out and they have worked great for us. They were affordable and turned out to be of good quality. I also like how they are simple but stylish at the same time if that makes any sense to you. If and when we need to buy more spoons I can tell you I'll order these again.

VERY large spoons. I don't call them dinner spoons. They are the size of soup spoons or even larger. Very heavy and durable.

I don't know if I am alone in this, but silverware seems to simply disappear at my house. I got so tired of buying expensive matching sets, I ended up buying junk and the dollar store which just bent and frustrated me.Then I found the New Star Slimline Stainless Steel silverware on Amazon. I ordered several types of flatware and I love it all. It is sturdy, easy to clean, and looks great! Why didn't I think of looking on Amazon years ago???I would recommend to a friend!
