Worked great. Had to get this for my ring camera system, since my previous ringer was only rated for 16v and i had to get one rated for 24v to power both my doorbell and the ringer. (make sure your transformer is compatible with this)

I've used a few with a 24V 40VA transformer and a Ring Wired Video Doorbell Pro. No issues at all using the supplied shunt that the Doorbell Pro has with it. No buzzing and the bell is a moderate level. Front is a "Ding Dong", back door is "Ding". Its not very loud and not too quite like the bells I replaced. Your not getting a significantly louder bell because of 24V you just have a good supply for the Video Doorbell if that's your application. Of course this can be used for a regular doorbell no Video BUT YOU MUST HAVE A 24V transformer. Many older transformers are 16V it says that on the side of the transformer. If you have a voltmeter measure it typically it may be a volt to 3 volts higher, that's normal. If you have a 16V transformer you must change the transformer to 24V for this bell. You don't have to use 24V for the Ring camera BUT you must have a high enough VA, similar to watts ignoring the technical explanation. IF your old 16V transformers say 20VA just upgrade to 24V and get this new bell and use the shunt. Remember your connecting your house's 120V here to the transformer be familiar with electrical wiring.

Bought the item used, in "Like New" condition, but when I received the item, it had clearly been opened previously and 2 of the grommet the mount the tone bar were missing. I was able to scaveng the missing pieces from my old doorbell chime instead of going through the hassle to return it. Just a heads up for anyone thinking about using it with a Wyze V2 video doorbell, it has a bit of a delay between the chime. Rather then a, "Ding,Dong", it's more like, "Ding................................Dong". Not sure if it's like that with every video doorbell, but I'm sure it could be caused by the Wyze doorbell module I had to wire up to it in order for the chime to work with the video doorbell. But all in all, it's a good product for the price, but Amazon needs to do a better job inspecting used products before selling them as "Like New", when parts are missing.

Needed a new doorbell / transformer to work with my Ubiquiti Unifi G4 Pro Doorbell, once I had the new 24v transformer installed I had no issues using it. Pretty simplistic look.

Had I heard the sound of the ringtone before purchase - most likely I would have chosen a different chime.Amazon & the manufacturer post all the nice photos of the product, but neglect to post a video how the chime sounds.

I bought two of these and the 24 volt transformer for an install on a house that never had a wired doorbell (it has an on-Q system but wanted to wire 2 Ring video doorbells.) Luckily the house was originally wired for a doorbell and the 24 volt transformer trickle charges the two ring video doorbells now. (No more changing batteries!) The tone is pretty plain, but the look and ease of installation were great.

Updated ReviewADT came over to check my ADT Video Doorbell and diagnosed that the unit is not working properly so they replaced it under warranty. I was told that the doorbell inside the house is acting up because of that so now the doorbell is working perfectly. Hope it stays that way. Revising previous review to 5 stars.Previous ReviewNot working for ADT video doorbell. It has a humming sound like my old doorbell that it replaced (16v). Hammer also gets stuck for a while before the 2nd bell rings when using the front doorbell button. The box and the description on this product confirmed that this is for a 24v system (which is what ADT uses).

I think I just got a defective one, and that the rest that are sold function properly, but I had to return it because it just wouldn't stop chiming. I did buy it through the Amazon Warehouse so it had prob been returned once already. Just my experience. I ended up fixing our old one.. just needed a good clean inside.
