Before ordering, we had some concern about the 1/2 inch being thick enough until we noted that our old big-box mats were about the same thickness and seemed sufficient. Bought three of these (in the cranberry color) to replace those old mats in our kitchen. We are very pleased with the product and happy that they are made in Texas. They are comfortable to stand on for long periods, are a good thickness, and make a nice walking path. The beveled edges significantly reduce the tripping hazard we sometimes had with our old mats. The look is elegant and they easily wipe clean. They do not slip around, but they do tend to slowly "migrate" across our laminate floor in the direction of regular foot traffic. This requires minor daily repositioning, but it is easy to do and we prefer that to having them literally stuck to the floor like the old mats. We definitely recommend!

I was a bit skeptical since I bought the thinnest mat they sell to keep the cost reasonable and after rolling it out and using it for several months it is such a pleasure! It really makes a difference when you spend any amount of time on your feet cooking or cleaning. And the 72" length is perfect and covers the area between my sink and cooktop so I can move comfortably between both without the pain that comes with spending any length of time standing on a hardwood floor. I definitely recommend this mat!

This comfortable mat is an absolute must have if you are often in your kitchen. It’s not only comfy to stand on but it will look great too. I’ve had decorative mats in my kitchen but nothing that was comfortable to stand on. I have plantar fasciitis and this helps take pressure off of my foot. Not saying it brings any kind of healing or this is the answer to your foot problem. As for me it just brings relief when I’m on my feet for a long period of time in my kitchen. Worth the price. Great quality!

I was on the hunt for a 6 ft. kitchen mat in a rustic red that didn't break the bank, and this one fit the bill.Pros? It was fairly cheap for the usually pretty expensive anti fatigue mats ($50 on Amazon), the length and width are suitable for my kitchen layout, and I like this simple rustic shade of red without all the quirky designs and phrases printed on it.Cons? It is super thin, but I don't stand in front of the sink and dishwasher for longer than half an hour or so at a time, so it's not enough for me to want to return it. But... it has a matte finish to it, so it has to be swept and wiped down almost every day. Kitty paw prints, foot prints, and water drippings from the dishes going into the dishwasher are super visible with this mat, and drive my OCD up a wall if not cleaned up immediately.It suits the purpose until I can find one I fall in love with.

I purchased this product for 2 reasons: 1) we've been unkind to our hardwood floors by slopping water on them when we load the dishwasher. This mat which is nearly 6' long spans the space in front of the sink and dishwasher so no more water damage to floor. 2) in a publication on aging in place, a mat of this type was recommended instead of a loose rug for safety reasons. I bought the 1/2" one instead of the 3/4" one because I thought we'd be less like to trip over it. The beveled edge also helps us to avoid falling. The mat is much more attractive than I thought it would be. It looks like a lightly tooled leather, but the surface is smooth so it is not difficult to clean. The tooled leather look is nice with wood cabinets. I would purchase this product again.

I received my GelPro Anti-fatigue mats. I bought two for my kitchen area. I can't tell you how pleased I am with them. I suffer from a rare disease that effects my joints and tendons. Our home was built on a cement slab and I love to be in the kitchen but it was difficult because of hard floor. Now, you can't get me out of the kitchen. This GelPro mats are so awesome. Not too soft and not hard. Cleaning them is a breeze as they are not fabric. If I would have known about these - I would have purchased them years ago. Thanks GelPro...

Had to replace our old mat, but couldn’t find the same one. This one is even better! It’s a little flatter, which is much safer. It is also a few inches narrower, which makes it so I didn’t have to “customize†it!

I ordered this mat since the price was great, and I waited to long to get one of the longer length (72") from Costco online and they sold out. I got the brown color and it's nice, as pictured. It's okay to clean, but I wouldn't say super easy. since it almost has a velvety texture instead of being completely smooth. The most frustrating thing about this mat is that is slides all over our LVP flooring, I have to move it back into place at least twice a day. (I'm home a lot, and we have this in front of the sink which I use a lot, so of course it gets stepped on constantly.) The quality and cushioning level is not as nice as the mats from Costco. It's not as thick in depth, the foam is not as dense and cushy, and the backing is just black foam (the bottom isn't finished like the top brown part is.

The illustration shows the mat barely compressed between two fingers. That is misleading because it compresses to almost nothing when squeezed lightly. I have a mat from a different maker as well, and the inferior quality of this NewLife mat is stunning.

A bit costly. However the mat is effective and feels convenient to use. Really helps to arthritic patients while standing for long time in kitchen.
