I purchased two of these and I am glad I went with it. I was considering getting a multiple pitter because we had a lot of cherries, but all the ones I was looking at was made of plastic and parts broke. I found this one (stainless steel), read and watched some reviews and decided to give it a try.My kids and I love it. Yes, it's a single cherry pitter, but It worked great. No issues with size of cherries and once you developed a rhythm it was easy to work with. My kids (young teens) was even done pitting our cherries in half hour. (We had about two gallon size bags full of cherries).Easy to wash pitter, dry and put away for next year.

I bought this for pitting oil cured olives and the large Bella di Cerignola black olives. It is a great device and did an unbelievable job in removing the pits. I was more concerned with the small black oil cured olives, but this device handled it well. The Bella di Cerignola olives are quite large but that was no problem for this device. The only negative is that its time consuming since you can only do one at a time, but it's well worth it.

The product works and does the intended task of de-pitting the cherries. It removes the pit of one cherry at a time. This is for small cooking projects, like the preparation of one meal or dish. It is easy to use but can take a while.

This cherry pitter is good quality, and easy to clean. I bought a plastic one prior and it was poor quality for my arthritic hands.

We have 2 cherry trees, I’m sure this model of cherry pitter would work great on smaller sour cherries. With 50lbs of cherries to harvest each year this is the 3rd type of cherry pitter in the arsenal.Pros, this is the fastest cherry pitter, they are all close but this one can go slightly faster.Cons, any cherry with decent size you lose more flesh than usual, the entire bottom goes with the pit. Large cherries don’t fit in this model and I was hoping it would do better with the Utah giants & Rainer than the other 2 cherry pitters. This model also creates more splatter from the juice of each cherry. For the cost of this pitter it’s mediocre overall, I’ll give it another shot with the Montmorency sour cherry in a few weeks when they are ripe.

Simple to use, easy to clean. I have stenosis of the neck that affects one arm. I was able to pit 11 pounds using this upright pitter, and no pain to my neck or arm. The pits are pushed out easily and once the chamber underneath is full, just lift the included mat and empty. The mess from pitting is also minimal.

I bought this for my sister, she uses a lot of Cherries making jams and jellies. She was very pleased with the way it worked, she said it made it a lot easier on her and saved a lot of time.

Great on small cherries ... but not so much on the bigger ones. I had two bags of cherries ... one of small ones and one of larger ones. I went to work on the bag of smaller ones and had absolutely no problem. It worked quickly, didn't get stuck and pushed all the pits out. One the bag of larger ones ... the plunger got stuck a few times and I found several pits in the bowl of "pitted" cherries. I don't know how that can be fixed as it's a limit of the design. I'm happy that it can do the small ones and may have to find another tool for the larger ones. So ... I would recommend this for small cherries and am satisfied that it does those well.
