Bought this in order to move the battery on my Pelican Bass Raider from the back to the middle. This is great quality and comes with everything you need. I've had the boat out several times since installation and it's works like a champ.

I bought this to extend my kayak trolling motor. Quality was better than I expected. I used remaing wire for my car amplifier wiring.

Nothing really crazy or innovative about this product but it works exactly like it should and has helped distribute weight in my 10' boat much better. A little pricey but you are paying for convenience.

The Minnkota Battery Box has a larger positive terminal than its negative. If buying this Extension Cable to extend from your Minnkota Battery Box you will have to manipulate the positive side of the cable to fit the battery box. I clipped it with a small pair of clipping pliers from a "O" shape to a "C" shape (see image for details). It worked just fine after that and took less than 5 min to complete.

I bought this cable to go with the trolling motor to extend the wire length. It is real sturdy 8 gauge wire and did exactly what I wanted it to do. Unfortunately I had to send the trolling motor back because it wouldn’t fit my boat. No fault of Newport Vessels, the customer service there is awesome!

Fantastic quality you get what you pay for. Steep price tag but again YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Worked great and super happy with the quality wish price was a little lower but for a 3rd time you get what you pay for.

As others have noted the red O-clip doesn't quite fit on the positive battery box terminal. Instead of snipping it and turning it into a C-clip I decided to use a Dremel-like tool with a cone shaped grinding stone to enlarge the opening slightly. I used the grinding stone for just a few seconds at a time (to ensure I didn't make the hole too large/outer ring too thin) and after 3 times it fit snugly. You can hardly tell the difference when comparing the black and red clips which is great as I was worried about it making it too thin and impacting the integrity. It works great - I just wish it wasn't as pricey. There are cheaper alternatives but they are smaller than 8 gauge so I didn't want to take a chance with such.

Have been using this with my Minn Kota trolling motor kit.For some reason the Minn kota battery shelter has a larger positive pin than the negative one so had to cut open a bit the plug. It worked and this cable is long and quite solid.
