Returned item for refund. Contacted help desk. After reiterating the question several times to tech on ph. I got the answer to my question. The part I ordered was correct the part sent was not. I will order it again at the request of the help desk operator and see if the right one comes this time.

I installed this throttle position sensor in my 2003 Mercury marauder 4.6 approximately 45 days ago. Started showing symptoms of failure after about 30 days. Thought it might’ve been a fluke - the engine revved up on its own for some reason. This morning it failed entirely while I was on the interstate highway. The engine began to accelerate uncontrollably without my foot on the pedal and I was unable to stop it. I had to turn the key and shut car off while driving at highway speeds to stop the acceleration. I managed to get my hazard lights on and move across lanes to the side of the road. I tried to start the car twice while on the side of the road, each time the engine revved to redline immediately and I had to shut it down right away. I got out of the car, opened the hood, and unplugged the throttle position sensor. Got back in the car - problem fixed. Now I need to buy a new throttle position sensor – and I won’t be getting this budget part again. I cannot emphasize enough - this sensor almost cost me my life this morning, and possibly the lives of other people on the highway. My advice is that you do not buy it
