I bought this valance to use as a curtain for a very narrow window I have. It looks ok, but it came with a spot of dirt on it and it’s a weird-feeling fabric that I don’t really like. Since I don’t have to handle it much since it’s on the window, I guess that’s not a big deal. The curtains work and they are the perfect size for my needs, so I’m happy with my purchase, but I would have preferred a nice cotton canvas or something. But they didn’t mislead on the description; it’s my choice to try them though they aren’t cotton. I just didn’t expect them to feel so weird.

I bought these for my son's room. The greenish white color is very pretty. He really liked them and he is able to open and close his curtains with ease. I liked them so much I bought a set for my room. The size it perfect for my small windows. And I also bought the same color. The color is a very light grey. It is very pretty and it keep the sun out of my room. On hot days my room feels cool because of the darkening effect it has without completely blacking out my room. I love curtains.

I've lived my my house for 3 years and have used a frilly see through curtain for my upstairs window. The light would hit my new baby's face in the morning, so I bought these curtains that are excellent in keeping out the sun. They fit perfectly and cover the whole window. The fabric is also very smooth and thick--definitely worth the money.

I bought 2 pair of the Nicetown Blackout Valence Curtains, in Navy for the sleeping area of a small vintage trailer to help block out the light, provide temperature control, and privacy. There are definitely pros and cons about these curtains. The CONS: I bought curtains advertised as 52W x 18L with 8 silver rings. The curtains are actually 19" long. The "silver" rings are plastic, not metal (as hoped). The fabric is med-heavy weight, machine wash and dry at low, but the fold creases DO NOT come out with washing and drying. The fabric needs to be ironed, but use caution because the fabric does get scratched by any irregularities on the bottom of the iron (easy scratching of the fabric is stated in the online information). The PROS: The navy color is accurate and stays bright after washing/drying. The plastic silver rings withstood light steam ironing next to them without melting (thank goodness). The plastic silver rings slide easily on a 1" rod, which is a main reason for buying this design. Curtains that are frequently opened and closed need to slide easily and not stick on the rod. The blackout capacity of the curtains is "ok", only letting in light through the grommet holes and a little at the base of the curtain. The stitching is acceptable on the curtains, and will pass for the vintage trailer. There are irregularities and some loose threads, but the thread color matches the curtain fabric and is not noticeable except up close. Overall the curtains do what I need them to do for this particular use.

I was pleasantly surprised on the good quality of these curtains for the price. I ordered them in Navy for our TV room as a room darkener. They had a few wrinkles when they arrived, but nothing that couldn’t be ironed out. The colour was true to picture and perfectly matches my chair and they are nice and thick. Couldn’t be happier!

When they came, I had a hard time believing they were thermal, as they had no backing whatsoever. They state "insulated" and they are definitely single layer! That being said, they do block a lot of light so maybe the fabric is 'insulated' somehow? The colour said 'red/burgundy' so I was worried it wouldn't work, but it is actually a nice deep brick red and goes nicely with the warm colours in my decor. I absolutely loved the length. It was very hard to find a short curtain! I didn't want a valance but my (standard sized) window is close to the stove so I felt full length curtains would be a fire hazard. These are a perfect length! Overall it was not was I was expecting for "thermal, insulated" but I loved the colour and length.

Purchased 7 times for 9 different windows in 5 sizes over a one year period. Highly recommend with one suggestion: open and measure them as soon as you get them. Measurements are shown for each panel, and have been mostly correct. The last one was supposed to be 52†w by 36†l, but the total of the 2 panels was 52†- not each.…. So now I have sides only on that one window. Because I procrastinated on the rod installation, I can’t return them. Disappointed because this is a less common size, so more $$. Otherwise, these are fantastic window treatments.

I use these for a smaller window in the basement. They work perfectly for that purpose and the platinum color I got really look nice. They're excellent quality curtains. They also block light sufficiently. I would definitely buy these again.
