NICHE Steering Rack Assembly

The steering rack, also known as the rack and pinion, is an assembly in your vehicle that allows your wheels to rotate from side to side when you turn. The steering rack is one of the most important parts of the steering system. It transfers the movement from the steering shaft to the tie-rod shaft. It is the main component that transfers the directional command.

How to know when to replace?

  • One sign is difficulty with steering at lower speeds.
  • When driving, loose steering and shaking are signs of a bad rack.
  • Vehicle pulling to a side while going straight

Went on great after putting on the steering shaft before bolting it to the frame. Wasted to much time trying to do it the other way. Took all the slop out of the steering.
