I like the Nicpro pencils overall, in terms of just this particular item which is a led refill, I will say that I really like the quantity you get for the price, for an item like this it seems to be a good value to me personally at 60pcs for about $10 dollars. I also really like the way they package them, they take the time and the expense to package them in such a way they are easy to store and unlikely to break, and well organized by color. Overall just good things to say about that, unfortunately when it comes to the lead itself, I think the advertising for it is a bit overstated, in my experience they actually did not flow quite as easily as desired, they mark on many surfaces but not all surfaces, I definitely struggled to get anything visible on smooth plastic for example, and metal results were mixed, usable at best and underwhelming in general. That's what I feel about the lead itself. In terms of the pencil design, that I really love, the pencils are awesome, the fact they have a built in sharpener, build quality overall, ease of use, really good there. Just wish this lead was a little smoother on all surfaces.

Works great stays sharp a long time easy to sharpen and doesn’t break when pressure is applied or you hit a knot or seam.

bought these refills for my husband who does a lot of woodworking previously bought the original set that comes with the holder for the lead. he uses these all the time. they are perfect for marking wood and the lined show up very well.

The regular graphite is great, and perfect hardness for my woodworking needs. The colors are useless for my needs. They do not show up on the dark woods like I expected them to. Do not buy the colors if you intend to use it for dark woods, it was a waste. I wish I just got the pack of regular graphite.
