I was a little skeptical about this item being able to print or sketch with 0.3mm HB lead, but with just a short trial I found I had very little trouble breaking the leads. What I found is that if you retract the lead back to the end of the extended tube and then pop the button on the other end, the pencil projects the lead enough for normal writing or sketching. If you pop the lead out without putting a finger to it to move the lead back to the edge of the tube it does break. And, of course, if you are ham handed, well, forget it. The steel tube that actually holds the lead as you write is retractable, which is not the case with all makes of mechanical pencils.

great pencil for find details. it looks so professional and makes nice crisp lines. the lead breaks really easily though if you even press a little too hard. but that might just be a me problem. it is annoying though. otherwise, i appreciate that it comes with erasers and extra lead. (which you will need if you're like me and break it every 5 seconds) the grip is nice, and even though the lead is HB it draws dark enough. (darker would be better though, but that's just a preference thing)

For the price of this mechanical pencil, you cannot go wrong enough lead to get you through the first year and it is a super nice build

I would give this product four out of five stars. The grip provides excellent comfort while I write and draw while still feeling the very high quality and sturdy. The pencil has a satisfying weight that feels nice while using without causing any extra fatigue. The build quality is impressive and feels like it could easily last a very long time. The included carrying case is convenient and still compact portable with the extra 0.5mm leads and erasers. Speaking of erasers, they're probably the weakest link - they don't actually erase all the way and feel pretty terrible. The bigger square one is fine but not great. The product isn't a bad price for what you get. Shipping was fine and it came when it said it would, though I wish it came sooner. While the subpar erasers are disappointing, the pencil's overall quality makes it a solid choice and I don't regret my purchase.

This pencil was recommended to me for woodworking and I am very happy that I tried it. Excellent quality and perfect fit for most marking squares.

I am amazed how the very fine metal tube on the end retracts so it is protected when you're not writing. Pencil feels great!!!

I bought a few different pencils to try of the 0.3 mm variety. I am not super satisfied with this one. The led breaks constantly and I have to be super gentle while writing as a result. The pencil itself, on the other hand, is not bad. It feels nice, keeps my hand cool, etc. The carrying case it came in is also good.

Looks and feels good in the hand. Nib retracts making it safe to pocket. Eraser is minimal. Very similar to Pentel Graphgear 1000. Great value.
