I have been waiting a while to buy smaller 10x30 binoculars; I have most of the other sizes. There are so many small binoculars out there and most are not worth the money, even at 20 dollars. However Nikon came out with 10x30 binoculars with fully coated lenses and I imediately bought them.Lens are everything and fully coated lens and prisms are the only ones worth buying. The most important part of the Binoculars are coatings and the type lenses and prisms used. When lense are coated they are suddenly good in dim light, you can see things more sharply and clearly as if you were looking through an open window.Nikon PROSTAFF P7 10x30 have all the attributes of very good binoculars. The focus dial is smooth and easy to move. The binoculars are the right size not too small or big and they weight is not noticeable around your neck. They are great in dim light. Sunset brings brighter views in everything you are looking at. Looking at the moon is spectacular.I just competeda 2 mile hike through the woods. The binoculars were hardly noticed. Every view was perfect in shade or sunlight. I use most 10x30 because birds get bigger and small details are at there best. Focusing with these binoculars is smooth an easy. If you rather have 8x30 binoculars you don't need to focus at all, because everything is in focus.Buying quality binoculars that are sharp and clear will make using them fun. The price for these binoculars are at a very good. They are waterproof and safe to take outdoors no matter what the conditions.

Labored back and forth between the Nikon M7 10 x30mm and the Nikon P7 10x30mm. . .The M7's were over $436.00 vs The P7's at $156,95 . . . After alot of reserach i went with the P7's and I am glad I did! Thery are very clear and sharp, lightweight and easy to use at a great price! I use them for varmint hunting and they work perfecty for Prairie Dogs and Coyoties! The M7's are a fantastic binocular at almost $300.00 more in price! The P7's are hard to beat for the price. I made the right decision!!

These are excellent in quality and portability and have very good eye relief for use with glasses. They are not as good in low light applications as 8x40 or larger or 7x35 or larger binoculars. These are great for travel, sporting events, and any daylight activity, but not ideal for low light birding or wildlife spotting.

Nikon quality and great value. The wide viewing angle and edge clarity is impressive for a compact binocular, feel is great. Only two negatives, it isn't as light as I would like it to be for a compact set, but I guess that's why the optical quality is so good. Also, the included strap is thin and non-padded, pretty useless, will be very uncomfortable walking around with that on your neck.

It's like looking though my $3,000 Nikon 70-210 lens. The 8x42 binoculars are amazingly sharp and bright for looking at the stage from 3/4 of the way back. The iris(?) is big enough so you get a good view. For use outdoors looking a birds in the back yard they would be great. Would be fine for Hunting. Maybe a touch big but you are looking for deer who are hiding in the woods. I'd look at the Nikon PROSTAFF 10x50 If I wanted to look at stars or I didn't have to carry them. The 8x42 would be good for in the glove box if you "run into a bad situation" or live on a homestead I guess.

I got these as a christmas present for my husband. They are way better and about a quarter the price of the last pair I purchased, about 10 years ago. They focus quickly and since they're water and fog proof we won't be scared to take them flat water kayaking with us.

Very clear bright image, better field of view than other brands that cost more. I think they are a great buy.

I recently purchased the Nikon PROSTAFF P7 8X42 Binoculars, and I am extremely impressed with their performance. These binoculars are incredibly clear and provide sharp, vivid images that make wildlife viewing and even stargazing a delightful experience. The lightweight design makes them easy to carry around, and the robust build quality ensures they can withstand outdoor use without any issues. One minor drawback is the presence of some chromatic aberration in certain sunny situations. However, this does not significantly detract from the overall fantastic optical quality these binoculars offer.Overall, I highly recommend the Nikon PROSTAFF P7 8X42 Binoculars for anyone looking for high-quality, durable, and easy-to-use binoculars for outdoor activities.

I have used it for quite some time now like 6 months...no issues and this is by far the best in the segment in object layering....like if used right it can easily pop out the main object like a bird, the focus is that good! Good for it- nice premium sturdy build great image quality and works well in low light as well, from experience perfect for birding.(In this price range)

clear and bright image even at night. there's some slight chromatic aberration depending on lighting conditions. weight is nice in hands. good build quality, smooth focus operation, and coated optics definitely worth the price.
