I was not impressed by the wall thickness of the receiver hitch tube. It measures 0.120 or 3/25 of an inch or about 1/8 of an inch where most 2 inch receiver hitch tubes are 1/4 of an inch in thickness. It is sturdy enough to sit or stand on. It may protect you in a parking lot from a lite bump, but I don't believe it's going to be enough to protect the back of your vehicle in the event someone hits you from behind. The metal in the tube is not that strong. I had a young man hit my truck from behind with my 2" receiver hitch on the truck and it did not damage my truck at all. However it rearranged the front end of his car and he hit me doing 35 - 40 mph. I still will use the bumper protector because it is better than not having at the back of my Jeep and having someone hit my spare tire and damaging my door and breaking my rear glass. I suggest using 2" square tubing with 1/4 inch thickness for the receiver hitch. It is the norm for all the other hitches.

Great complete kit to add a step and maybe some addition rear protection. There are a few holes to use to adjust the depth you want your step. For my use Its roughly in the middle, I could have easily extended it out a couple more inches.The pin lock is nice, its not for towing, thats obvious, but its a decent locking one. Rubber o-rings to use to keep it from rattling around, and a R pin incase you don't want to use the lock.Everything bolted up fine, I used blue thread locker so its a rough ride on my Jeep, don't need it getting lose and parts falling off anymore than it normally does.Highly recommend this, now time will tell if the finish rusts.

After a week I finally got put it on and it was very easy to put together. The hitch is very sturdy and stable. I recommend it 100%.

I wanted this for the wifes car, weve had issues with people in parking lots hitting her old car and cracking the paint on the bumper so when we got the new one i decided to give her a little more room. The kit was easy to install and came with everything needed to work and keep it quiet. Looks good and will work great.

My plastic weathetech xl bump step got broke off. This one is less and looked indestructible and is both. EZ install. Looks great on a 4 runner. Sit on it. Dance on it. GET ONE.

Love the product have noticed a difference with people being behind my truck not tailgating anymore. Fits perfectly in the 2024 Tacoma Sport Premium package. With that said the 3½ hitch lock the product comes with WILL NOT fit for those with a 4inch width receiver. On the 2024 Tacoma (at least mine) you have your standard 2inch receiver and it's welded to a 4inch shell. So you will need to get a 4½ lock which does work.Satisfied with the product everything looks great.

Excelente equipo, me ayuda muchisimo a subir en mi pick up frontier, no interfiere con los sensores de reversa, ayuda a proteger la camioneta de quien me pegue en la defensa trasera, viene con seguro anti robo y se ve muy bien. Viene en terminacion antiderrapante.

Missing essential part.the T connection to the Hitch.Otherwise looks very sturdy and nice. Wish there was a way to contact the seller to send the missing piece but instead the only available option to send it back.

The Pacific North West is wet for nearly half the year. This makes it a lot easier to access the back end of my roof-rack on my Jeep Wrangler JLU. I'm 6" and 250lbs and It's incredibly grippy and sturdy thus I don't hesitate hopping onto it when I need to even in the rain. It blocks my rear parking sensors but that is not the fault of this step, it's Jeep's placement of the sensors in the rear bumper - don't get it twisted. If you absolutely rely on the sensors to revers park, then find a different unit.It took me less than10 minutes to install but your mileage may vary.
