So first off, let me set the table: I purchased the first one for my 524 ft.² apartment in downtown Honolulu. My apartment building used to be a commercial building converted to residential. This means the property owner did not swap out the windows (which do not open) and relies on an HVAC system to circulate air. Unfortunately, the air the HVAC circulates tends to be hot and humid. Without an option to be able to ventilate my unit with fresh air (no way to open windows), I purchased this unit to see what it could do to help lower the humidity in my apartment. I was impressed with the unit and because of the configuration of my small apartment. I purchased another dehumidifier so I was able to have one near the bathroom and laundry and the other and the living room/office area. Both the units are full every three days - that’s a whole lotta humidity being removed from my living space. I did see a review in which someone complained their dehumidifier broke months after purchase, but I’ve had mine for almost a year now and they continue to work great. Then instructions do state to turn off the unit for 10 minutes daily which I follow and maybe that’s why mine still work.

If you, like me, wake up one day to realize that the people who designed your bathroom never expected it to need sufficient ventilation, you might consider this dehumidifier. Though I assume our house was not designed and constructed entirely by people who’d never undertaken such a project before, sometimes I wonder. Our bathroom “fan,†in particular, gives me pause. It does not suck. Well actually it does. Just not well. So the bathroom gets pretty damp. Well, it used to. Until we bought this dehumidifier. From the moment we first plugged it in and turned it on, it has fine what our bathroom vent fan never could. Now instead of a foggy swamp with wet walls, our small bathroom is a pleasant place to visit. Once the dehumidifier’s tank is filled with water it has pulled from the air, it is simple to remove and dump down the nearest drain, which is generally near in the bathroom.Note: Must plug into a working outlet to use effectively!

works great for a 200sq ft room only if your normal humidity is below 40%. I have to use two of these to keep up. Without them the humidity gets past 50% through all seasons. With them it stays below 44% during spring and summer.Never expect one humidifier to do the trick. Always add an additional 100 square feet or sometimes double the size if it is a large room like a basement, to your room dimensions in order to select an appropriate humidifier.

Works well in small bathrooms, as it’s not very powerful. Would recommend this for all small bathrooms in the house but not the large ones. If in the large bathrooms it takes a while to remove all steam from the air so it has to run for a while.

I’ve been using the NineSky dehumidifier in my garage, near my water filtration and purification units, and it’s been performing well. Here’s what I’ve noticed:Pros: • Quiet: This dehumidifier is impressively quiet, even when running on high speed. Since it’s in my garage, noise isn’t a big concern, but it’s nice that it doesn’t disturb the area when I’m working near it. • Auto Shutoff: The automatic shutoff feature is great, but since I’ve hooked it directly into my waste water system, I don’t even have to think about emptying the tank. This has made it incredibly convenient for long-term use. • Compact: Its size is perfect for small spaces like my garage. It’s portable enough that I could move it around if needed.Cons: • Tank Size (If Not Hooked Up): For those not hooking it up to a drainage system like I did, the tank does fill up quickly in more humid spaces, which could be an issue for some. • No Sleep Mode Use for Me: Since it’s in my garage, I don’t really use the sleep mode. However, the regular operation is quiet enough that it wouldn’t be a problem in a quieter room or at night.Overall, the NineSky dehumidifier has exceeded my expectations for my garage and basement gym. It’s a low-maintenance, efficient solution that fits perfectly into my setup, and I’d recommend it to anyone needing a reliable, compact dehumidifier.

This dehumidifier looks good and I like the colors. The reservoir tank is pretty small and I have an issue with water leaking out of the hole as I believe that’s where you hook up a drain line or put a plug in. Nonetheless water is always coming out. It pulls out water but has only lowered my humidity by a couple %. Not effective for my space (1000 sqft). It’s not too terribly loud, my fish tank is louder. I personally would spend my money elsewhere.
Great machine just not big enough for my needs.

I just got this last week. And I'm returning it, as the full light does not turn off after emptying the water fill. There are no reset button or any helpful videos on how to fix common issues. Don't waste your time with this, just buy a better bigger product from another company!!!!
