I like these because you don't have to strap them all up

Just received, four stars for now. Should have ordered XXL, XL still feels tight. The pads seems thin, hope they are strong and durable. Will update review. After few times at the trail, this seems to hold out. Only thing I don't like is the rubber that is inside made my skin itchy. Not too much but an irritation. Just have to fold it inside out I guess.

My criticisms of this are not for it's quality, but for how well it fits my anatomy. I have larger biceps though not through muscle, this has issues fitting there and staying in place so the padding is over my elbow as intended. They are well made, great padding, just not intended for my anatomical shape. Were I as athletic as I would like to be it would be a much better fit, but that is a me issue not a product issue.

I didn't have very high expectations for these initially, but I am pleasantly surprised at the build quality and comfort. These are very soft pads, and they rely on a snug fit to stay in place. Mine did have a bit of movement, but that comes with the territory for this style of pad, and I didn't mind slipping them back up from time to time. I much prefer that to having them be overly tight, however I really do think these would benefit from a velcro strap to provide a bit of adjustability. Overall exceeded my expectations 5/5.

Out of the box, these pads looked great and felt on par with other name brands on the market. However, once I slid them on, the fit was off, and REALLY off. I'm 6'3", 190 lbs, and have the body of an avid mountain biker, so my muscles are average size. These elbow pads fit so poorly, they just would never stay put in a crash. I ordered based on my measurements and my bicep is somewhat snug, but not enough to keep the pad from sliding down, but the forearm fit is beyond terrible. The elastic collar is waving freely and is about double the size it should be. I feel the ratio between these sections is off no matter what size you get. Ultimately, I returned them before trying them on the bike as nothing would have made up for that bad of a fit.

Here is what I like:1 - This is a mid to lighter weight pad which is exactly what I'm looking for, something that is light and cool enough to ride up the mountain and hopefully not use on the descents. I did not crash on them yet but I feel very confident that the pad will provide the right level of protection.2 - The pads are removable so you can wash the outside when it gets stinky.3 - The grippy rubber on the top by your bicep holds it in placeHere is what I don't like1 - The sizing is really strange, I have skinny arms, bicep 12", forearm 11.5", wrist 7" and I ordered the L/XL according to the chart. These are tight around my bicep, fine on the forearm, and super loose around my wrist, with almost 1" extra material (see pics). I would definitely say that if your bicep is over 12" go for the bigger size. The looseness around the wrist is not harmful but more annoying than anything and something that I haven't had with other pads.2 - The pad is exposed to the inside of the sleeve meaning that about 2" of it will be right against your skin. I really disliked this, my other pads had the thin layer of sleeve material covering the entire pad so when you sweat it has a place to go and it also allows the pad to move a little big rather than glue to your skin. I included a pic of what the inside of the sleeve looks like as well as the pad turned completely inside out so you can decide for yourself if you think its a problem.Overall the 2 cons are enough for me to say I don't recommend these pads, I'll keep them for a spare set since I already stunk them up but I probably won't use them often.

I usually don't reach for pads unless I'm planning to do a more gnarly MTB ride. As a result of this behavior, I've come home with my fair share of cuts, scrapes, and bruises from minor wipeouts on my routine trails that I tend to ride overconfidently at times. I always thought of pads being too annoying and cumbersome to wear on a casual ride but these Speed King elbow pads from Ninja have really changed my mindset about MTB pads. These slip on easily and stay in place while riding thanks to the grippy rubber at the top and bottom of the sleeve. The sizing is a bit odd so be sure to measure your arm dimensions with a tape measure before ordering. I didn't have any problems with the pads sliding down my arms while riding which was my biggest worry about a slip on elbow pad. These pads are thin and light enough to not feel obtrusive and restrictive while riding. They get a little warm on really hot days but otherwise breathe well. Overall I now opt to wear these on about 75% of my rides compared to going padless which is more than I thought I'd ever use them. The material is thin though so we'll need to see how well they hold up long term to snags and cuts from crashing.

First off, completely agree with the other reviewers that you should order a size larger than you think you should. I'm not a small human but also don't have "The Rock" sized biceps but went for the XXL and they're a nice snug fit.In terms of the product, they're fantastic for protection, comfort and fit. I'm really happy with how they sit on my arms and the extended "sleeve" at the bottom for the forearm both keeps them secure as well as provides sun protection while remaining breathable. The padding itself is flexible and enough to help protect against most falls. I'd be concerned in a severe fall/hit but there's not much you can do in that scenario anyway. The fabric is very breathable - my first ride was on a warm day and I didn't feel like they were causing me to sweat much more than I would have without them. I hung them on my handlebars after the ride and they dried quickly as well.Great value for a great product!
