I chose this box spring because it was the only one I could find that would fit a 76x80 king size mattress, and I’m not disappointed! The hardest part about setting this up is the first step which is connecting the middle, a couple of the holes are a tad off center but you just need to lift it to fit the second row of screws in and have some patience. I did it all by myself and I am almost 8 months pregnant! it took me probably 2 hours so I’m sure with another person it would go by quicker but I am impatient and wanted to get it done as soon as it was delivered. After you pass the first step and connect the middle together it is extremely easy to assemble and it is very sturdy.

I wish I had taken more pictures now that I’m writing a review. My box spring was a b*tch to put together by MYSELF; you’ll need some manpower and probably three people max. The hardest part about mine was pulling the centerpieces together, it came slightly bent and the holes didn’t aline right (in the photo with the red circle). I didn't get all the screws in 3/4 I gave up and replaced the missing screw with a string (I have no shame in what I did lol) it still held nicely. All in all I bought it to raise my mattress higher and it's serving it's purpose. If you have a soft bed it will feel firmer once you add the box spring. I recommend getting it, and suggested you raise it so you don't hurt your back I raised my on my dining chairs. it doesn't squeak!

I was almost completely through assembly when I realized that this 7" version was too tall for my bed, but I must comment on how incredibly easy this was to put together! It took me only about 15 minutes and there are only a few steps. One note is to ensure you follow the directions to keep the 'A' legs partially folded until all the middle screws are set and you're golden!

My wife and I are flat pack furniture (ala Ikea) experts. We've put together literally dozens of things from simple bookshelves to beds and desks and entertainment systems, etc. We know how to do this. Assembling this was just the worst. The instructions are terrible but I could have given them 5 stars even then but the thing took 3 people to put together. Two on the sides to maneuver the pieces and one in the center to put in the nut and bolt. It took an hour, just as others said.Now, once done, it is amazing. Super sturdy, super quiet, fit perfectly, and I love that the cover is open on the bottom so my cats can't crawl up there. Would I buy it again? Yes, with gritted teeth and asking friends over with some pizza and refreshments.It is what we needed, exactly what we needed. Putting it together though... we've experienced things no one should have to ;-).
