This works really well. It is a clever design and allows me to setup an indicator pretty easily... one hand on the indicator and the other on the single knob (which loosens or tensions all the joints). I didn't buy the manufacturer's base, and it doesn't fit the Starret-style magnetic base (which takes a threaded rod) but it fit nicely in one of the small, inexpensive bases I had.It seems durable enough, although I can't say it will last for years because I haven't had it that long. But I expect it will hold up a long time anyway, it is well crafted, and has a superior functional design compared to the traditional two-knob designs usually seen these indicator holders.

Because they don't seem to publish these anywhere and because I wished I could find them before I ordered them, the mounting shaft for these is 8mm in diameter (0.315") and has an M6x1.0 thread and requires a fairly thin 7mm wrench to remove.

I haven’t used this holder much yet but have other Noga holders and really like them. They are all quick to set up, smooth, and durable. Not sure how they compare to the cheap knockoffs but you usually get what you pay for.

Likes: Noga products this is very rigid and easy to move as needeed. The holder for the indicator has more mounting options than other Noga models. Adjustment is crisp and consistent. I bought an Edge Technology version of the same thing first but was annoyed that it had no lock and was not rigid and would move if bumped or table travel was too far.Dislikes: My only complaint is that the stem that gets inserted into the collet is a 5/16". I really wish it was 3/8 like most holders or at least offer a 3/8 stem version it would save a tool change as most edge finders are 3/8" or 1/2" but it is a minor complaint as Noga lives up to their quality name and so far I haven't found any better options.

Excellent flex arm. Just a slight twist and the whole thing locks up rigid, and does a great job holding my indicator while setting up jobs and indicating fixtures. The fine adjust fixture is something I don't know how people live without!! Can't recommend this arm enough!

Don't be fooled by the typical Amazon bait and switch. Others are suggested, with the same part number as Noga, but it is cheap Chinese crap!!! This is the real thing!

A bit expensive but I like it. Better than the standard indicator holder. Easily moves into any position you want and then locks down tight. I did notice a very small movement while locking it down but not a problem. I bought this one before buying the magnetic base version because it was slightly cheaper so I could see if I liked the system. I'll be buying the magnetic base version in the near future.
