I usually had problems lifting my bundt cakes from the cooling rack, with the fear that I would break the cake in half when lifting it to frost or to pack in a cake carrier. This device is amazing. The Nordic Ware cake lifter is quite sturdy and lifts a bundt or two-tier cake with ease. Just a bit of advice - spray the paddle with non-stick spray before lifting the cake. It will glide right on and slide right off when you have placed it in the container. By the way, if you stop making cakes, you can always use it as an awesome ping-pong paddle.

A sturdy cake lifter...although not a sturdy as my 15 year old nordic ware cake lifter. Primarily use them as pizza peels
