I use a lot of honey, especially in my coffee and tea. I’m so glad I finally found a solution to sticky fingers and hands every time I use honey. This dispenser works great! Many reviews have complaints about the plastic handled top. It honestly looks and feels so real it’s hard to tell that it’s not. It’s very strurdy and shows no hint of plastic material. This product performs exactly as expected. No need to pay $30 for one that does the exact same thing. At the price point that I bought it I can afford to buy more as gifts. I have no problem recommending this product.

I wanted something to hold the honey other than a boring bottle. This was way better in person than I expected. Good quality. Gets the job done. Looks beautiful on counter.

UPDATE BELOW....A very elegant honey server and it does seem less "sticky" than the stick dauber style. The resting cup and the honey reservoir are glass... the disappointing thing to me is that the rest is plastic! I was hoping for stainless steel. *sigh*.... So it will not last for long I'm afraid... but we shall see. I never hesitate to update my reviews with useful info. A tag inside suggested keeping about 1/3 of a cup of water in the resting cup to keep the honey from crystalizing at the tip of the reservoir. An interesting suggestion... I will update with news of this.... In the meantime, remember, that just because honey has crystalized, it is NOT spoiled. In fact, honey is the only food on earth that doesn't spoil. And even has some antibacterial properties. If you were in the wilderness and had a cut, you could put some raw honey on it. Heating the honey up in the micro for a few seconds breaks down the crystals if you don't like them. Personally I like a little crunchy honey with some peanut butter on toast. This dispenser is useful and I HOPE it will last for a while. If it does, I may buy another for syrup. Further... I am NOT compensated for my review in ANY way.6/27/2016.... UPDATE..... In use for several weeks... works GREAT. Doesn't leak out the bottom, drops honey at a lovely rate... honey is not crystallized, which would clog the dispense (just fyi) While I am still concerned about the the plastic pieces of the top, it seems to be working well. I will continue to update as time goes on.

I've tried all the rest; plastic, restaurant style syrup dispensers, other glass dispensers, etc, etc, etc. This product is superior to everything else I tried when it comes to removing crystallization and dispensing the golden goodness. Filling is a bit more work, but still easy.As you are aware, honey crystallizes over time and has to be warmed to return to a semi-fluid state. Decrystalizing this dispenser is simple and efficient. Put hot tap water into the base and place the dispenser back into it. Wait. Empty the water before it cools. No crystals, no problem! Warming plastic containers causes warp, they get hard and crack. Syrup dispensers always leaked onto the counter causing a mess, they float when decrystalizing, they caked at the spout, and required nearly daily cleaning to keep in operation.Filling this looks complicated but it really isn't. Place a finger over the bottom opening, remove the top with the other hand (loosen it first if needed), fill, replace the top, remove your finger and while putting it back into the base, lick the golden goodness from your finger.I only with I had found this dispenser sooner, before I went thru the hassles with all the others.

Not amazing, I got this thinking it would be easier than pouring honey from the plastic bottle, nope. It’s cute but that’s about it. It’s actually more annoying than pouring it from the bottle because you have to fill it. It’s just as slow if not slower coming out. It’s a pita to fill. There is no easy way and no instructions from the seller. Either way, you are getting honey places you don’t want honey.

I love this dispenser. It looks nice on my stove where I prepare my foods. The dispenser bottle and stand are made of heavy clear glass, but the handle, plunger/plug, and top trigger piece are silver plastic. I did question, and had to come up with a personal technique, to fill it with honey without the plunger/plug inside to prevent spillage. It came with no directions. While I hold the glass bottle in one hand, a finger holds the opening closed, I fill it from an original honey container with the other hand. I screw on the top piece with the attached plunger, and only had a drop of honey is on my finger tip. The glass stand holds the bottle and catches any drips. Alert others that this is a two piece glass holder, so they don't grab it and drop it to shatter the glass. It is smaller (holds 8 ounces) than I expected, but it works great.
