The Norpro Silicone Basting Brush has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen. I already used it to baste my BBQ chicken, my butter rolls, and and my salmon with a lemon ginger sauce after catching a pound of salmon from a fishing trip in Alaska. Each time the brush was great in terms of easy handling and cleaning. The best part to me was how the silicone material absorbed the sauces and butter in a way that caused most of the marinade to be spread and distributed onto the food and not stuck in the bristles and therefore wasted. Without fine bristles the glaze smoothly and evenly covered my chicken and salmon and the butter nicely spread over my rolls. The brush also went through the washing machine without a problem and it looks great in terms of aesthetic. I feel that it nicely compliments my other kitchenware and looks modern and sleek. I have zero complaints and don't see myself buying any other basting brushes besides this one in the future. Fortunately, because it appears to be very sturdy and durable from my eperience thus far, that purchase will likely not be for quite a while.

I have another one that is exactly like this one, but with red bristles. It's a great brush and I wanted a second one. But it doesn't have a brand name on it, so I crossed my fingers and hoped this one was the same, except for the blue bristles. It appears to be the same, and I'm happy that I found it. They work, they clean up easily (I throw it in the top rack of the dishwasher), and they last forever.

After trying several other models, I finally found the perfect basting brush. It’s a pleasure to cook and bake with and so easy to clean! I just stick it in the dishwasher and there are no residual marinade stains. This basting brush holds all of the liquid throughout its smooth bristles for an amazingly even baste and a perfectly tasting dish. I use it for spreading marinades on meats and butter and creams on pastry dishes and none of the bristles are left on my dish as can happen with traditional basting brushes. I plan on using this for a long time as it is very sturdy and looks to be long lasting.

It's not as good as the bristle brushes at spreading melted butter onto stuff, so there's that. It's fairly good at it, though, it just takes a touch more time. The advantage is that you'll never end up with bristles on your stuff. This seems really sturdy and well-made. I can't imagine what it would take for it to come apart, but it would have to be quite a bit. Not a life-changer or anything, and can be a little annoying to have to go back more than I feel strictly necessary to get butter spread on things, but it was fairly cheap, looks like it will stay together, and I'll never have to deal with fishing a bristle off of the top of bread dough again.

I love this basting brush. I really bought it for cake baking. I needed to wet each layer with a simple syrup and didn't want to simply just pour the syrup on. I wanted something a little more gentle to wet each layer. This brush worked great. It's a little hard for me to understand how this can hold liquid and baste so nicely but it does, its wonderful. I also use this to put on barbecue sauce while grilling and my favorite use is for egg washes for pastry. I make cream puffs and breads often that require a wash and this brush is extremely gentle. It looks like it might damage a delicate pastry but nope, its perfect.

I had a silicone basting brush before that my dog got a hold of and destroyed and I missed it dearly whenever I made BBQ chicken or ribs. This brush is just like that one but better, a bit bigger so its easier to spread sauces over meat, super easy to clean and held up in my dishwasher. It’s an extra bonus that its a nice blue which is my favorite color. This brush is sturdy, works well for various cooking tasks and I would definitely recommend it. No complaints :)

I needed a basting brush to apply olive oil to skinless chicken breasts but everything at the local stores was over 15 dollars and while those were adequate, they weren't exactly what I was looking for.A search on Amazon turned this up for less than 6 bucks and I really like the silicone "bristles" over the other brushes I saw. Easy to use, easy to clean, and at a third of the cost of brick and mortar store offerings.

I purchased this exactly 2 years ago so this review should provide some merit from using it for 2 years.Needed to replace an old basting brush and randomly purchased this not knowing what results I would get. I like this basting brush much better than the bristle brushes because this is much easier to clean up no bristles falling into the cooked meat and I also prefer this because the sauce or marinade transfers easily from brush to meat. The sauce doesn't accumulate at the base of the bristles where the bristles meet the base. I used to paint and am very well accustomed to cleaning bristle brushes and this thing is a piece of cake to clean up. Time will tell how long this will last. I don't put this in the dishwasher so I can prolong the life of this basting brush.
