I used these for Thanksgiving turkey without a hitch and Christmas Prime Rib. Makes retrieving the meat easy and does not create a mess. Provides a solid ground so carving the meat is much easier. Big enough to handle turkey, roast, pork shoulder or Prime Rib. Nice price too.

This is my second set of these lifters, I lost one of the first set at a picnic. I do a lot of grilling of chickens, turkeys, ribs, brisket and more. These lifters let you reach underneath through the grill grate for gentle lifting and turning of meat during cooking without putting holes in it. When you need to hold the meat securely for cutting, the four tines really do the job. The rubber handles are good and even give good grip when they're greasy. One of the best grilling investments I've seen if you do a lot of larger items. They are very solid and well designed.

Perfect for roast chicken, ribs, or turkey. Extremely sturdy and well worth the price. Easy to lift and avoids messy hands or unstable moving of large meats.

I have a set of these, a gift from my sister. I've used them and they work OK, but I find making a lifter out of kitchen string, like the one that comes with the butterball turkeys, works better. Use heavy kitchen string, tie the string in a circle, bigger around than your roasting pan, with the sides of the circle together so you have a double string longer than your turkey, tie knots in two places, a little more than 1/3 of the way in from each end of the circle. I put it under the turkey before I put it in the roasting pan, position the knots under the turkey body and open up the loops at each end so they go around the wings on one end of the turkey and the legs on the other and lay the ends of the loops over the top of the turkey. When the bird is done, just grab the ends of the loops and if you've positioned the knots right under the wings and legs of the bird, it's so very easy to just lift it out of the pan. for a heavy bird, I have another person helping with the Norpro turkey Lifters, which are not adequate themselves for me to use to get a 22 pound bird out of a roaster.

These are great for picking up a whole chicken, turkey, roast or other meat from a roasting pan. They’re strong and I’m confident that the meat is not going to fall off the forks. I recommend these!

I got tired of wrestling with big fat Perdue chickens -- wracking my wrists on a half-cooked bird (breast side down for an hour) and then killing myself trying to remember which kitchen implements I'd use to shift the entire cooked bird to a cutting board. The solution was these Norpro Poultry Lifters. The handles are quite heavy, and the lifters are quite sturdy. They come with a little sleeve that covers the tips of each in order to protect them -- and you -- in a drawer, and thus far has been a flawless tool for... flipping the bird =).I was quite pleases to find lifters with 4 tines instead of 3, as this means on a big, meaty bird, when you need extra control and extra leverage, you have it from the extra point of contact as well as the changed weigh distribution; rather than wasting one tine as ostensibly an axle, you can get the bird on both ends and make use of all 4 to roll the thing over, rotating around where the middle tine would be in a three-prong lifter -- more torque! They're an excellent value for the money, clean up easy, and I suspect I will have them for some time.

Purchased these as a replacement. They are better than the prior set. Handles are comfortable.
