I use things for many purposes, so when I find something that can serve a number of uses I dig it! I use this for a small side-step for my Pick-up occasionally, but primarily I use it as a changing-platform at camp. I spend almost half of the days each year outdoors or in the wilderness. If you are using a low profile tent and cannot stand up inside, then you need a place to stand when you change where your socks or feet won't get dirty. When night comes on it can get cold so to have a place to stand to do a quick change is invaluable. Sit on a bench or chair, pull your boots placing each bootless foot on this stand, stand up, change pants, sit back down, and reboot, BAM!!!, I'm 6'3" and weigh 240 and this little foldable stand is perfectly sturdy for my needs!! Love it!

I use it as step to get into my car - it seems to be built fairly sturdy. I question the 300lb weight limit. I am lighter & it seems to bend & creak a lot

These are nice convenient footstools. They are sturdy and fold easily. It’s best not to have weight all on one side because it can break if overloaded. Try to use on a relatively level surface so weight is more evenly distributed.

I liked that this step folded. But, that led to the hinge area being weak. It also made a lot of creaking noises. And you had to be VERY CAREFUL or you would get pinced fingers. Returned it as not suitable to my needs.
